Sunday, 30th May 2010. 7448 miles, total climb 1,420ft, average speed 14.6mph. Despite this being SPF ride number two, it was actually my first of the season and how happy am I that Neile has started his ‘SPF’ rides again. Participating in these rides was amongst the most fun I had on two wheels last year so it’s good to be back. Anyway. I took a bump up this year and decided to ride with Michael as he rolls a B-18, and now I’m an A-sig grad I thought I’d make use of the added speed in my legs.

AIDS LifeCycle 9 - June 2010. Turned out the only choice I had was to fly to Sacramento, not exactly close to where I needed to be, in fact a hundred miles away. I got there in the end of course, courtesy of the kindness from an old friend, Simon, who got in his car to collect me and my bike. Saturday, 22nd May 2010. 844 miles, total climb 4,633ft, average speed 15.3mph. Today I proved that I have the skills and the ability to be considered an A-Rider. I started the New York Cycle Club A-19 SIG back in March somewhat worried at the distances, the hills and the speed that awaited me and I end it knowing that I had nothing to worry about. I’ve met some great people during the course of this SIG and I hope I get to ride with everyone this summer. And in the meantime. see you on the road.

Saturday, 6th March 2010. 4861 miles, total climb 1,922ft, average speed 13.2mph. Whatever it was, thankfully it passed pretty quickly when I was on the bike and the joy of group riding was quickly rediscovered. There were familiar faces aplenty and luckily for me, old chums Vero, Katie, Abraham and Lawrence are all in the same A-19 so I’ll get to ride with each of them.
