Thursday, July 29, 2010. Drew McWeeny's List of Duh. Last night, I discovered that Drew McWeeny ( @DrewAtHitFix. And William Goss ( @williambgoss. Have apparently been at this thing called The Basics for a few months now (explained in detail by Drew here. In which Goss goes through McWeeny's List of Duh (reprinted below, in chronological alphabetical order) and watches the ones he hasn't seen. Steamboat Bill Jr. (1928). The Invisible Man (1933). Sunday, August 29, 2010. Critical Thinking: Caddyshack (1980). Is a column where I review something I've just watched (usually something I like). No other reason. It doesn't really need a name but I gave it one anyway, since it's different from Cheap Thrills. And I hear things on blogs should have names. In 2008, Harold Ramis directed Year One. In that way, it's just like Caddyshack. Don't get me wrong. Year One. Is way, way. Worse (and nobody eats a piece of shit in Caddyshack. Maybe one of these people...

The Following Preview: The aggravating, asinine, anarchic release of “Adventure Time” on DVD (continued)
http://the-following-preview.blogspot.com/2013/01/the-aggravating-asinine-anarchic.html
Sunday, January 27, 2013. The aggravating, asinine, anarchic release of “Adventure Time” on DVD (continued). Another year, another "Adventure Time" DVD release with a random selection of episodes. This time, the title episode is "Fionna and Cake," designed to tie in with the air date for the second Fionna and Cake episode, "Bad Little Boy" (the episode premieres on February 18th, and the DVD set hits stores February 19th). My review copy came in totally unexpected, super-cool packaging. 3) What is Life?

It doesn't really need a name but I gave it one anyway, since it's different from Cheap Thrills. And I hear things on blogs should have names. Which I am revisiting thanks to its long-overdue debut on Blu-Ray here in the United States. Goin' around in a boat, looking at stuff? Of course you don't fuckin' hafta. I missed the movie in theaters thank...

February 24, 2015. The horror of the laughing wallpaper in Scorsese’s The King of Comedy. Scorsese fans will be quick to notice that very same thrilling cycle of isolation, rage and climax recurring throughout his oeuvre: Mean Streets. All finish with a great big, satisfyingly conclusive bang. Not so with The. Travis Bickle asking his own reflection you talkin’ to me? Hardly. Not when we hear how some woman broke her own leg to look more like Jessie J, or how this guy. The King of Comedy. Is bitterly fun...

Underground Film Club – The Nuge.

November 26, 2014. Cinemas are awful, aren’t they? I’m not talking about the artform. I like. Unsurprisingly, savvy Londoners have been turning to alternatives, and a veritable popcorn-flavoured smorgasbord of pop up cinemas have, in a very literal sense, popped up all over the city. One such pop-up is the Rooftop Film Club, in which hardy souls surrendered themselves to the Great British Weather for movies under the stars. Inside the auditorium itself, the curvature of the tunnels gives the whole thing ...
