The Clavicle and the Kakapo: Surprise Surprise!

http://www.thebirdandthebone.blogspot.com/2011/07/surprise-surprise.html

The Clavicle and the Kakapo. Wednesday, July 13, 2011. My my Hasn't it been a while? I think the whole point of this blog was to eliminate these long bouts of silence Leslie and I would have in our personal blogs. The idea was that, if I was too busy to update, then he'd take over. And vice-versa. On my friends twice so far. And I've been muttering "You Muggles." at strangers. Me reliving my childhood exploits may seem trivial at a time where my home is being plagued by political unrest. It isn't all...

The Clavicle and the Kakapo: If there are any readers at all

http://www.thebirdandthebone.blogspot.com/2011/06/if-there-are-any-readers-at-all.html

The Clavicle and the Kakapo. Thursday, June 2, 2011. If there are any readers at all. Do realize how hard uni life is on me (and on Aimee as well, apparently). Its draining my vitals so that I cannot update. But I have been trying very hard to learn these past few weeks. Like, really learn stuff. Not from textbooks. Not from my lecturers. But from public lecturers. From animals (yes, they do teach you stuff if you'd just look). From prospective employers. From children with cerebral palsy. So I tried a d...

Annoyance is bliss: July 2010

http://unholysacred.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

Part of life is to annoy people. Wednesday, July 28, 2010. Philosophy's such a cheap word now isn't it? Oh while we're at it, common sense has become not so common anymore. Wednesday, July 21, 2010. Carlin said, we humans are arrogant in thinking that we need to save the planet. I agree with him, I did notice that if you just sit down and think for 5 minutes, arrange the facts together and just ask yourself a simple question, 'What exactly is the planet being threatened by? I have no intention of preserv...

Annoyance is bliss: September 2010

http://unholysacred.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html

Part of life is to annoy people. Monday, September 20, 2010. In case you're turned off, I'm not going to discuss from a philosophical context what I think fate is. I'm a person who loves to commune with nature. Auckland provides much opportunities for that. The animals here seem like a bunch who are used to human presence, and in their heads the only mathematical equation that exists has to be HUMANS = BREAD. But at least they are harmless. I think. The main point of today is, as I said, I am a person wh...

Annoyance is bliss: Democracy.. again

http://unholysacred.blogspot.com/2011/12/democracy-again.html

Part of life is to annoy people. Monday, December 19, 2011. I can't sleep. So I might as well update, since I don't have the mood to do anything at the moment. And as always, I do not organise thoughts well, so this post will as usual not be well articulated. This festive season, I ponder upon the meaning of democracy. Today, I sincerely believe we do not understand democracy (neither do I, for that matter). What do I think democracy is? Good pay, good looking prime ministers, holy men acting holy, susta...

http://unholysacred.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

Part of life is to annoy people. Tuesday, December 28, 2010. So I have started reading. Richard Dawkins. The Greatest Show on Earth. At 'work'. And the first chapter covers definition and pretty much bitching a bit. According to Mr.Dawkins, 40% of Americans do not believe in Evolution. They believe in what is known as Creationism, that is everybody just sprang into existence, each discrete and unique i.e. designed entirely by God to be different. And what do I think of it? Ain't no drama like ToraDora.

Annoyance is bliss: February 2011

http://unholysacred.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html

Part of life is to annoy people. Saturday, February 12, 2011. About 2 weeks I'll be off to Auckland again. This year I have planned a few (really a few) stuff to do that will keep me occupied and still have time for studies and wasting (I hope). These few days will be silent contemplation while I finish off a 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle. Talk about multitasking. I actually think a lot while I'm doing something that requires a small degree of thought and heaps of concentration. Weird eh? But enough about me&...

Part of life is to annoy people. Wednesday, August 25, 2010. I have tons of assignments, tests, duties, commitments and all coming up, but really. Fuck them all and lets update the dying blog. First of all let me lament for the breaking of my beloved phone. She died suddenly, and would not wake up. I feel like I lost a lover. Anyway, on to today's update! I shall talk about a random topic, and the first thing that came to mind is education! Sure, they tell you about it, you remember it, you go for exams ...

Annoyance is bliss: March 2011

http://unholysacred.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Part of life is to annoy people. Tuesday, March 15, 2011. Bertie's book is good. Its light enough for heavy stuff, and is comprehensible for people in general (I guess. I can't take common sense for granted though). Haven't been updating, simply because I can't find the mood to do anything. Instead, I am seeing a lot of conflict between people recently. I should like to think in history no one has ever been to war thinking they are on the wrong side. Haha Japan, remember Pearl Harbor? Well yes, put it bl...

Part of life is to annoy people. Tuesday, February 01, 2011. An inexplicably frustrating feeling when you are not being heard. I need to take a break from overthinking things. Its tiring, keeping the mind in overdrive constantly. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. The Bird and the Bone.

Bird and Berry

Thursday, March 27, 2014. A New Piece of Our Adoption Story. The last two years have been a wonderful, hard and crazy whirlwind for our family. We made many tough life changing decisions that required us to lean on faith and prayer more than we ever had before. We began having fertility problems, made the decision to grow our family through adoption, I had an emergency surgery and was diagnosed with aggressive stage 5 endometriosis. We had to answer the questions; “Is this what we should do? My Little Fa...

the bird and the bicycle

The 52 week project. Hey, Follow Me. Monday, July 27, 2015. Before we moved in. Needless to say, we are thrilled (and exhausted) to be homeowners. It is so fun to see dreams become reality. We looked like the Beverly hillbillies driving down the road. It took us 4 days to move everything IN the TEXAS SUMMER HEAT! What the heck were we thinkin? Also after adding beadboard wallpaper to our built-in shelves, I've decided everything needs more beadboard. Love love love. Huge difference was made in the foyer!

The bird and the b's. This is a quirky take on world news through the satirical eyes of three worldly commentators. The bird, that’s me Cat, and the B’s, Brandon and Brant aim to offer a look at news stories from both sides of the pond, whilst poking fun when dually necessary. Sunday, February 15, 2009. Holy ethics part 2. Things surely can't get any worse? First we had octomum and lets be honest, her story was pretty low on the moral chart. Now there is a new shocker. This story is such an embarrassment.
