Migrating Play Button iTunes Patch to a GUI App. This entry was published Saturday November 15, 2014. I am working on migrating the Play Button iTunes Patch. App Here is a sneak peak of what it looks like so far. You can see the source code in github. This has been an interesting project because I have had to learn about elevated privileges in OS X, which apparently isn’t a very common use case. I am hoping that this version will be simpler and minimize the xcode command line tool installation.

PostgreSQL not starting after Yosemite upgrade? This entry was published Thursday October 16, 2014. Ed PostgreSQL and can’t get it to start after the Yosemite upgrade? Check the logs and see if you get the following error. FATAL: could not open directory pg tblspc: No such file or directory. If so, then you need to create a few directories that went missing as part of the upgrade. Cd /usr/local/var/postgres mkdir pg tblspc pg twophase pg stat tmp. Stack Overflow post for the details.
