The Skinner Family: April 2011
http://theskinner-family.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Just me and my two boys. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord". Saturday, April 30, 2011. We got to celebrate Mimi's 50th birthday with her and all our brothers, sisters, niece, and nephew on Matthew's side. It was great to see EVERYONE at the same time. This usually doesn't happen with all of our crazy work/school schedules. I think Mimi enjoyed it too :). The next morning, we got up and went to have our pictures taken in the bluebonnets. It was so beautiful to see all the flowers. We found ou...

Life in the Middle: Interceding
http://rachelbitter.blogspot.com/2011/01/interceding.html
Monday, January 31, 2011. In the same way the Spirit also helps our weaknesses; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groaning too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. In a time when I have no idea what I should be praying, I rest in this verse. The Holy Spirit intercedes and groans on my behalf. For my brothers on the street that ...She i...

Life in the Middle: June 2011
http://rachelbitter.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 24, 2011. There are those times in life where God gives us numerous options and He wants us to choose one and serve Him to the fullest. Then there are times when you know for a fact God has orchestrated the exact direction and there is no questioning it. I would try to make the long story short but I do not want to miss one piece of this journey. Kathryn, you can thank me later for all the things I have imparted to you! On my classroom. I was in love. Standing with my kiddos in the h...You c...

Life in the Middle: July 2010
http://rachelbitter.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 31, 2010. Refreshed, Renewed, and Ready for what God has Planned. My last two weeks have been spent as a co-leader of our team of 19 to Egypt. This is the fourth time in 2 years that I have landed on Egypt soil and I knew this would be a new experience. I was excited about the opportunity to share my love for the Egyptian people and culture, as well as be part of W4 camp. I was able to spend time talking with him about the last eight months of being home and all that has happened during th...

Life in the Middle: December 2010
http://rachelbitter.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 28, 2010. Don Juan's (the Original) is by far my favorite place to eat. Not only is the food amazing but I love the staff. We have become friends over the years. I mean, I did eat there 3 times a week (or more) when I was in Tyler. So, there was no question about where to eat for lunch on the 23rd. Kathryn (my sis) and Ashleigh (pretty much our adopted sister). Aunt Rachel and Maddie Kate. I miss this little girl but will get to spend a week with them very soon! I am not sure how Luke (...

The Smith Family Matters: March 2009
http://wonderfulwindy.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
The Smith Family Matters. Mar 5, 2009. Well when we got home today the boys wanted to play outside like usual on a nice day. So we dropped our stuff on the walkway and played. I decided I would take advantage of the nice weather and the well behaved boys, so I cleaned out my car! That was long over due! While I was doing that, the boys were very busy digging for "good" rocks! Carter was even cleaning them with his tooth-brush. Yes I said his tooth-brush! Posted by Windy Smith. Life in the Middle: August 2010
http://rachelbitter.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 28, 2010. I have typed and retyped the first couple of sentences about ten times now. It is so hard to know exactly where to start and what I should write about. Upon arriving home, life has been crazy. School is starting again which does not have the same meaning it did when I was a student and then a teacher. But this year it has been extra special. Thrilled to be able to take baths at their own home, wash clothes, and sit in warmth! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Life in the Middle: 18 days and counting...
http://rachelbitter.blogspot.com/2011/02/18-days-and-counting.html
Sunday, February 13, 2011. 18 days and counting. Over the last two weeks I have started many blogs. Words have been typed and the deleted. Thoughts have bounced around my head. What to say. how to say it. where do I begin. what am I even supposed to be thinking? So many questions and zero answers. 18 days of watching, waiting and praying. 18 days of wondering what will happen with Mubarak. 18 days of wondering what I am supposed to want for Egypt. 18 days of wondering what I am even supposed to pray.

Just me and my two boys. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord". Sunday, August 28, 2011. I don't think him and Gammy stopped playing for 5 minutes. He enjoyed playing with someone besides us I think. Thank for coming Gammy and PawPaw, we love you! We will miss you Jojo :). Last week, we had to say good bye to one of our very favorite people, Joanna! She left for college this week, and boy are we going to miss seeing her everyday. She is so special to us and always will be. This verse just stood...
