Monday, October 18, 2010. The Eighth Annual Sweet Retreat. These were the Sweet Retreat attendees this year. Isn't everyone just beautiful? It is such a great opportunity to keep close family ties. We missed all who could't come but we will meet again next year. Chelsea is giving a bow demonstration while Barbara is sewing duckies and ML and Patsy are enjoying a delicious snack. Speaking of snacks. Rita gave us a demonstration on candy making and left us with lots of samples. They were DELICIOUS! On Jan&...

Robinson Roost: February 2009
http://lkroost.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 22, 2009. Last week, I took an impulsive trip to St. Louis to visit Marc, Shannon and boys. They only had about a 22 hour notice before I arrived, but adjusted their lives to let me come. I had a wonderful time. Every once in a while, Harris would appear in his construction garb: hard hat, chain saw and hammer. He obviously did not see the need to get dressed before starting the job. He is a pleasant, chatty 19 month old and loved to be held by his grandma. I loved it too.

Robinson Roost: December 2010
http://lkroost.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 26, 2010. November and December 2010. We went to St. Louis along with Justin, Amy, Jed and Bretta in November for Oliver's blessing and Thanksgiving and took a trip up to Nauvoo. It was beautiful weather but rather blustery in this photo. It just nearly blew Larid's hair away. We had 50-60 degree temps there and at home there was a 3 day blizzard. Didn't miss that. Here is our brunch group hoping everyone had a very Merry Christmas. I think the smile says it all. View my complete profile.

Robinson Roost: October 2009
http://lkroost.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 25, 2009. I spent a fews at Justin and Amy's to work on a quilt for Bretta's bed. This project was thought of a few years ago, fabric purchased a few months ago and the top made a few days ago. Bretta is "ecited". These are the Friday night attendees breaking for some dinner and snacks. Notice our healthy choices! We have the best family and appreciate the support they give to this retreat. We had 26 attend out of 32 total. Not bad. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Robinson Roost: August 2010
http://lkroost.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 15, 2010. These photos show the view that we had of the INL desert fire in July. Our garden has grown quite well this summer, compared to others we have seen. I think it is due to Jake's fertilizer that we applied this spring. Occasionally, I get the urge to sew some clothes so I made the girls some summer skirts. I didn't mean to post 2 pictures of my bike but it appears that I did. Pretty nice, huh? Thank you to all who contributed to the bike fund for my birthday. Todd and Diane Plus 3.

Sunday, January 11, 2009. Our Home in the Wilderness. These are the tracks of the animal which lead across the patio to the honey locust tree in the back yard. There were also tracks up the front walk onto the front steps. These happened sometime prior to 7 am on Friday morning, Jan. 9, 2009. This photo shows just half of the wing span. You will notice where the bird landed toward the center left of the photo and where the wings touched on the center right. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). On Jan. 30th ou...

Robinson Roost: July 2009
http://lkroost.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 5, 2009. I haven't fallen off the face of the earth and I will update a few things that I have been doing. My sisters and I helped our granddaughters/daughter make matching quilts. My granddaughter, Kenadee is on the left, Patsy's granddaughter, Kelsi in the middle, and Mary Louise's daughter, Rachel on the right. It was fun to watch those girls learn to love to sew. These photos are for those of you who don't have a good view of gorgeous sunsets. The shots are about 10 minutes apart.
