Sunday, February 07, 2010. A trip to London village for the lovely Dennis's birthday for some drinking, shopping and a show. A Friday night with Gay George (Not Actually Gay) is never likely to be a quiet night with just a few drinks and so this one wou;d prove to be. An evening on the serious boozing on the red tea and cheese in Cafe des Amis left our subject in his usual state (asleep) at the table. Not sure, America I think". Utter genius. As was to be expected a splendid weekend.

Monday, January 18, 2010. The Duke of Wellington. A few days away in snowy London saw him down catching up with the usual mob. On the spot, classic reduction, sans vino however . 1 brown challots and garlic in pan (approx 1 min). 2 add zest of 1 lemon - fry approx 30sec. 3 add cup or so of bacon or fish stock. 4 add a few table spoons of olive oil from some deli olives.
