I was rooting for Melissa since the first episode because I liked her story. She was the only person competing who wasn't a chef. She is a stay at home Mom who cooks for her family. Saturday, January 9, 2010. Recipe: Hearty Beef Chili. In Texas, we do not put beans in our chili. Period. The end. I stumbled across this recipe a few years back, and it is deliss. You can make it chunky as directed with the chuck roast, you can use chili meat found at the grocery store, or ground meat. It makes a big ole' pot, and it freezes great! Make some corn bread- in a cast iron skillet- to go with this and you're set! Prep Time: 25 minutes. Cook Time: 1 hour(s) 45 minutes. Yield: Makes 9 cups.

Sunday, November 7, 2010. The other gripe was the TV channels weren’t the greatest. I would of killed for Food Network as an option to watch. It didn’t help that I was in the hospital in September when no new episodes of TV shows were on. I did have my laptop, but the internet didn’t have the greatest speed, so if I tried to watch something on Netflix the picture was choppy. I would be taken down.
