http://thebootsgirlhears.blogspot.com/2005_10_01_archive.html
The Boots Girl Reviews. Tuesday, October 04, 2005. SixPoint.Five - "The Abbey Road Sessions". To put it simply, is probably the most famous recording studio in the world. And to think that local band. Have recorded tracks in the same studio as The Beatles just goes to show how far they have come. My first thoughts when buying this EP? Abbey Road is like one of the greatest, most advanced recording and mixing centres. THUS. This has got to be good right? Okay, let’s take a look at the packaging. Three tra...

The Boots Girl Reviews. Monday, May 07, 2007. Exit Plan - EP *. Any band which gives out a free CD is a bonus in my book. Therefore, the cynics among you may think that a band like Exit Plan. Who gave me not one, not two but THREE free CD’s is just guaranteed a good review! In all honesty though, no bribery is needed as the music on those CD’s spoke more than any other gratuitous gift could. Unless of course you were giving me some serious money). Hailing from the basements of Hackney, Exit Plan. It’s al...

TheBootsGirl Goes to...: February 2006
http://thebootsgirlsees.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 11, 2006. Feb 4th - 2ft High, Titan System SIX.POINT.FIVE. In their first headliner in months Six.Point.Five. And what a return it was! Got there, she was surprised to find no one inside the foyer. This led to serious flashbacks of a previous Pitz gig in which the audience consisted of about 30 people but no, Six.Point.Five. Surely can shift more sales than that? My question was answered when I spied a group of shrieking girls running to the loo. You know we leave in packs). Check out ...

Tuesday, April 04, 2006. 31st March *ADEQUATE 7, 3dBs Down, Presumed On Vacation*. The long awaited arrivals of the Welsh Renegades of Fun. K were finally upon us. Playing. This month last year, the Adequate7. Returned to a play a more-than-adequate gig. With some great supports from P.O.V. The first band up, Presumed On Vacation. To a great reception last time. Their catchy tunes and ska-infused riffs showed exactly why. Being one of the first female-fronted bands I’ve seen since Straight Curve. With th...

Monday, March 27, 2006. March 24th - PAMA INT. Titan System! It felt strange seeing only two bands play at. This week but, this was by no means a bad thing! First up came the mighty Titan System. With their presence about a month ago. Playing old favourites such as. Don’t Carry That Burden. Dreader than Dread ,. The thing with the Titan System. Although a man limited by his keyboard, the vocalist Aram. Still manages to work the crowd. The fact that his hair is amazingly cool. By Boots Girl standards).

TheBootsGirl Goes to...: June 2006
http://thebootsgirlsees.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 22, 2006. 17th June- Capdown, Krakajak, Boom in the Diamon Industry. We can see that from the repeat sell-out of their double-gig extravaganza, Capdown. Don’t play The Pitz. Often enough. Having had to wait 11months between the last two gigs, it was a great surprise to hear that they were returning for a June gig, much earlier than expected. Playing a good mix of emo vs pop punk, Krakajak. They played an energetic set to a highly receptive audience. Boom In the Diamond Industry. Provided p...

Tuesday, December 20, 2005. December16th: CAPDOWN, Graveltrap, Desperate Cycle. DRUM n BASS DJ's. My my my, what a night. Following the LEGENDARY two-nighter they played in January, Capdown. Apparently the timed one’s are the best? Here’s IMO statement #1-. The Capdown crowd brings the fitties. And the first quote that TheBootsGirl. A notably fine audience for a notably fine band. AROUND THE WORLD and then come right back to. Twice in one year. We should feel honoured. As well as the infamous Graveltrap.

Monday, April 11, 2005. The Pitz 8th April - Spitting Image, Anti Vigilante, Back Seat Drivers, Six.Point.Five. To put it bluntly, it was an absolutely brilliant night. Great performances all round. However I'm an honest working Boots girl on Friday nights of all nights and obviously this leads to complications and -*cough*. I missed the whole of the first band,. Starting off with Anti-Vigilante. EP and album. Was considering buying the A-V. It was only 3 quid thumbs up on the value side! The charming le...

The Boots Girl Reviews: August 2005
http://thebootsgirlhears.blogspot.com/2005_08_01_archive.html
The Boots Girl Reviews. Monday, August 15, 2005. What would motivate me more to review this CD other than the fact that it was FREE? Of course it would be my completely biased opinion that the Treefingers do in fact, rule supreme. This 4-piece band hail from Milton Keynes, place of Kings and are really nice people in the flesh or the soft tissue as the thesaurus suggests. Come on, they give out free CD’s! The first, Rental Girl. I will shoot them.). Overall the guitar fills, as provided by. To and it's a...
