Outside Life: May 2008

A love of the outdoors! Tuesday, May 27, 2008. Just got back from my first trip to Sedona. The Grand Canyon. It's a gorgeous place so it's no wonder that tourists fall in love and never leave. The trip was an excellent opportunity to sight see. Relax and hike. Sedona. Instead the 90 degree plus weather and steep incline was the only thing on my mind. The Grand Canyon was even better than I expected. The majestic gash in the earth is so enormous. Monday, May 5, 2008. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Outside Life: March 2009

A love of the outdoors! Wednesday, March 25, 2009. Our next stop was Point Lobos State reserve just outside of Carmel. This is probably one of my favorite places to visit in California. It's along the coast and there are some cool white sand beaches, trees, and tide pools. Since we had a lot of driving to do we only stayed for a couple of hours. It was great to explore the tide pools and take in the energy of the ocean. Monday, March 16, 2009. Saturday, March 14, 2009. Aliso and Woods Canyon. The other d...

Ambitious Crafter: May 2009

Thursday, May 28, 2009. Okay, maybe lazy isn't the right word - I've been unmotivated to write in my blog. I have lots to say, just haven't found the time to write about it. Here's a recap (pictures as always to follow). It's a run (1.5 miles) bike (10 miles) run (2 miles) and for the costly admission you get to spend the day in the park. I will definitely need a change of clothes and baby wipes to get rid of the funk! My garden is coming together, Carlos put together an above ground sprinkler system so ...

Thursday, August 28, 2008. Morning Routine - Chuck gets up at the butt crack of dawn, feeds the dogs and I wake up a little later (girl needs her beauty sleep :D). I get ready to go to work but before I head out the door - I give the pups a delicious treat and head out to work. Our curious dogs were the first to investigate, I even saw a little tongue testing the findings. I obviously screamed and Trini backed away! Wednesday, August 27, 2008. Funny Recap of Olympics. 3 Paul Hamm, Gymnast:. Ah, isn't tha...

Ambitious Crafter: December 2008
http://ambitiouscrafter.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 21, 2008. Just a quick note - we ran the MAKE ROOM FOR SANTA (5K) couple of weeks ago and I did it. I ran it in 33.22. I think one of the motivating factors was the extremely cold weather. It must have been mid 40's and the sun finally started to peek out right before the start. I hope I keep getting better and don't plataeu - I vow to one day be able to take a picture of Chuck actually crossing a finish line! Me double fisting two sweet rods. I'll add video this weekend :D. There is an ...

A love of the outdoors! Monday, July 28, 2008. Mammoth Lakes Adventures Day Three and Four. The last day of the trip was pretty much driving back to LA and the OC. We did stop at Bishop to pick up some delicious pastries at Schats Bakery. I was amazed by this bakery and the large variety and high quality of their pastries. The apple turnovers and chocolate dipped macarroons were delicious. Mammoth Lakes Adventures Day Two. Mammoth Lakes Adventures Day One. It was great to finally get to bed even though w...
