What to My Wondering Eyes Did Appear?… | The Bourboneer

https://thebourboneer.net/2016/12/18/what-to-my-wondering-eyes-did-appear

Love for the Distinctive American Spirit. What to My Wondering Eyes Did Appear? December 18, 2016. 8230;But a bottle of George Washington’s Rye, distilled only once every two years. That’s right, Christmas came a little early for the Bourboneer this year! So Rick, my friend, it is with a grateful heart that I say thank you and Merry Christmas! I don’t think any gift I can give in return can match your generosity and consideration. Bourbon enjoyed while writing this article:. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Love for the Distinctive American Spirit. March 17, 2017. Today is March 17th, St. Patrick’s Day. The above symbol is used by the Presbyterian Church of Ireland 🇮🇪. The inscription “Ardens Sed Virens” translates to “burning but flourishing.” I am not Irish nor am I a Presbyterian but in honor of this religious and cultural celebration held on the traditional day of Saint Patrick’s death, I raise my glass. I hope everyone has a fortuitous and safe evening! Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! Click to share on Re...

Oh Yeah!?! Prove it! | The Bourboneer

Love for the Distinctive American Spirit. December 9, 2016. Not to undermine Cervantes’ brilliant quote, but for the sake of this article the proof of the alcohol is in the drinking. By a small sample we may judge the whole barrel. Let me explain. Before you partake in enjoying your favorite bourbon, do you take a look at the proof? Or the amount of alcohol within? So imagine yourself back in time sailing on the. You just prevented yourself from being keel-hauled or being hung from the yardarm. A few hou...

THE bike | themotorcycletourer

https://themotorcycletourer.wordpress.com/2016/06/11/the-bike

Traveling one day at a time. A Tale of Two Rides (at least two). June 11, 2016. It occurred to me that I’ve begun a blog to chronicle my upcoming motorcycle trip across the United States, give voice to some motorcycle inspired thoughts, and to share some experiences I’ve had on my motorcycle. But the thing that I haven’t really done here is introduce THE MOTORCYCLE. Not bad for a 2009 C109RT Boulevard. Suzuki decided to stop production on these bikes. Why? She’s picky about a few things. Dissolve into fl...

Traveling one day at a time. A Tale of Two Rides (at least two). June 24, 2016. June 24, 2016. Since I live about 5 hours from the coast, I’m doing the first leg separate from the rest of the ride across the United States. I broke all my riding rules today. Got a late start (for a great reason, but still ). Rode through morning rush hour in Atlanta. Stopped at a chain for lunch. 4 hours on the interstate. Didn’t even stop for pictures. But my bike likes eating up the miles at (cough)ish mph. You are comm...

Traveling one day at a time. A Tale of Two Rides (at least two). On a Warm Winter’s Night. December 4, 2016. It’s cold (for Atlanta), and raining, and gray. The days are short. The dark nights are getting longer. But if you look, there are bright spots. Houses lit up for Christmas. Fireplaces with crackling logs (yes we have fireplaces in Georgia, mostly for looks). The smell of baked goodies that you will get in trouble for nibbling on because those are going to be gifts! This past summer I got to tour ...

Traveling one day at a time. A Tale of Two Rides (at least two). November 24, 2016. November 27, 2016. Honestly, when I began the blog I wasn’t sure what it’s purpose would be. Maybe a record of the trip (it was). Maybe a way to stay in touch with my friends and family who would want to keep up with my adventure (it was). Or maybe a way to get those inside-my-own-helmet thoughts down in some coherent form (yep). Today, I think this blog is D all of the above. I would. I should. I did. Liked by 1 person.

Traveling one day at a time. A Tale of Two Rides (at least two). July 26, 2015. May 14, 2016. This is the initial post here on themotorcycletourer, so I think it’s only fair that you get a heads up on who I am, and what I’m trying to do with this blog. Honestly, it’s an extension of my bucket list dream of traveling coast to coast across the United States on my bike, meeting great people, eating some great food, and seeing some country that will take my breath away. I want to experience new restaurants&#...

Traveling one day at a time. A Tale of Two Rides (at least two). I would. I should. I did. October 3, 2016. Yep, I’ve been away a while. Thinking, digesting, sulking, and not really finding a reason to keep posting here without an ongoing narrative of my travels. I honestly do not like the idea of being that attached to a piece of metal. I also honestly have to admitI certainly am. Was it really worth it to spend a couple of thousand dollars on a bike that was probably worth $5,000? Then it hit me. I am ...

Love for the Distinctive American Spirit. What Your Memory Often Forgets, Bourbon Remembers. January 8, 2017. What did it represent? I took another sip. It wasn’t long before the 46.5% ABV settled into the recesses of my brain. All residual stress ebbed away. Yet oddly enough, my memory became super charged with activity. Nostalgia stirred. I lifted my glass to the light once again and then it became clear. Just ensure you’re making the effort to improve each year. I wish all of you a very Happy New Year!
