Summer 2016 was so much fun. There really are too many pictures to put on this blog, but here are some highlights from our summer. We feel incredibly blessed that we have the cottage to retreat to on the weekends. This place is truly magical, and we are grateful for every memory we have captured here. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Life Itself: The latest
http://anna-lifeitself.blogspot.com/2007/01/latest.html
Saturday, January 20, 2007. Thought I'd post a wee update:. Our Christmas was amazing (pics to come), and I thoroughly enjoyed my 2 week holiday! Going back to teaching wasn't that bad, I had just felt like I hadn't done much planning over the holidays. But then when I returned to school, I found out that no other teachers did either! Corey and I are doing really well- we are managing to find time here and there for ourselves (between kids, Christian's hockey, Corey's hockey, my skating, etc! Anyway, I'v...

Sunday, October 01, 2006. Oh, by the way. Oops did I forget to mention that my beloved has returned to Winnipeg? Yes, it's true. Corey has been home for almost 2 weeks now and it's a little surreal. Usually, after we take the kids back to their mother, I don't expect to see him for 3 or 4 weeks. When I return home from work every day and he is THERE- I still can't register it. it is the best feeling ever! AAAANNNNDDD. we get to see the kids so much more often now! Posted by Anna @ 10:36 PM. I am a teacher.

Sunday, December 24, 2006. Posted by Anna @ 10:24 AM. Thursday, December 14, 2006. I am a teacher. I am constantly having these little realizations that I am, in fact, a teacher. The photo company returned the photo orders the other day and I am now proudly displaying my VERY OWN. Class picture on my wall, and at home on my piano. I remember standing in the gym having the picture taken and thinking: "Holy Cow- I'm the only adult in this picture. And tomorrow is our Christmas concert. Arg Anyway, we.

Life Itself: February 2007
http://anna-lifeitself.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 25, 2007. Well it's almost been a month since Corey and I got engaged, and last night we were finally able to get together with family and friends for an official celebration. As most of you know, Corey and I met at Triple B's 4 years ago, where I was server and Corey was a customer. Both Corey and I felt the good overwhelming feeling of "Wow, all these people are here because of us. Because they love us, are happy for us and want to celebrate with us.". I guess for this reason, I want t...

Life Itself: August 2006
http://anna-lifeitself.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 29, 2006. I had a teenager ask "Why are you buying all that stuff? I had an elderly couple say "You must have a lot of children". I had a grouchy superstore manager tell her cashier, "No you can't just take her word for how many items she's buying, you MUST re-count them",. AND while standing at the check out with my nearly exploding cart, I had my friend Eric appear out of nowhere and tell me that "Staples is having a really good sale right now, you should go there". Guess where I am now?

Sunday, February 28, 2010. Wait a minute. How did this happen? It seems impossible that the little bundle we brought home from the hospital is now 3 years old! This past year has been an exciting one and full of laughter. Hannah is an amazing kid. She loves babies and will do anything to get near one. For the most part Hannah plays with her dolls and her play kitchen though she loves to run and jump and tumble too. Playdough and art are also faves. We have wonderful friends who are patient listeners abou...

Saturday, January 23, 2010. A Really Good Shew. Parenting. Nobody tells you that you will run around getting a 2-year-old ready for a dance recital like a madwoman. Because it will be this day out of the whole year that she decides to nap. And nap late. So there I am brushing hair, getting on the tutu, the special coat and hat and we are out the door. I am fuming. Why are we ALWAYS late? I go back up to the lobby and into the theatre to grab some seats. Derek is parking the van "somewhere". I wai...Inser...

Sunday, November 15, 2009. She asked dad to yell trick or treat with her the first time and then she did it on her own from then on. She teaches me so much, this little 2 -year-old, about being afraid and working through it. I'm so proud of her I could burst! And she's pretty cute too if I do say so myself. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Orange You Glad I Didn't Say Banana? Welcome to bits and bites of the life of our little family. Happy woman, wife and momma. View my complete profile.

The Bowernest
The Bowernest is now Setsquare Studio. I have not dropped by ‘The Bowernest’ for quite some time as I have been in the process of setting up my new design business SETSQUARESTUDIO. It has always saddened me that I had lost track of this blog and have forever been trying to find a new way to incorporate it back into my life. Seeing as I still get the odd visitor to this site I thought I would formally let you know that I will now be blogging under my new pseudonym over at www.setsquarestudio.com. All in a...

Wednesday, June 24, 2015. Kristin Lavransdatter and Sense and Sensibility. I am devouring Kristin Lavransdatter. For the second time, and am loving it this time around just as much as the first. Maybe even more so because I understand the characters better. A big thank you to Haley of Carrots for. For bringing this book to my attention. While reading her list, 10 Books You Must Read to Your Daughter (Or How to Keep Your Daughter From Ending Up Like That Horrid Girl in Twilight). Both young ladies have th...
