Pursuing Early Financial Independence through Dividend Growth Investing and other Passive Income. Thursday, July 23, 2015. Whenever I make a new purchase for my portfolio I feel it's only fair to get a post written giving all of the juicy details. I want to be as transparent as possible with my journey to reach financial independence. On Tuesday, July 21st I initiated a new position. I know my plan is to try and build up positions. For $90.57 each. After commission my per share cost basis comes t...If yo...

NDChic'sCents: Mortgage Plan
http://ndchicscents.blogspot.com/2015/07/mortgage-plan.html
Thursday, July 23, 2015. I'm happy with this decision but I still struggle a bit with it. I know I could probably achieve better than a 3.375% return but we are saving aggressively. For the most part, I do disagree with putting all extra money toward a mortgage because of the math behind it. But I do not want a mortgage in retirement so I'm going ahead with it. July 23, 2015 at 5:45 PM. Paying off your mortgage before you retire is a very wise thing to do. July 23, 2015 at 6:12 PM. Thanks for stopping by...

NDChic'sCents: Frugal Weekend
http://ndchicscents.blogspot.com/2015/07/frugal-weekend.html
Saturday, July 11, 2015. I bought just the necessary groceries yesterday. Milk, bananas, watermelon, pickles and tortillas were purchased for $17. Our garden is starting to produce veggies and our raspberry patch is doing beautifully. I never add pictures so I hope this works. These raspberries were planted this year that we got from a friend and they are going gangbusters. We eat raspberries everyday. Lil Punk says she has strep throat so I guess we are off to the clinic. Fun stuff! I hope that everyone...

Anybody have any good veggies to grow for a northern climate that I'm forgetting? Links to this post. Saturday, April 25, 2015. I feel so much better when we eat meals made from scratch. Portfolio – Rich Neighbour
http://www.richneighbour.com/portfolio
Smart Money and Growing Dividends. Makes a financial planning. This is my portfolio of stocks, mainly US dividend paying companies with long track records, updated last 20-07-2015. What can we say about this portfolio:. It is a work in progress. At the moment it is clearly overweight in several stocks. However working towards a 150K plus portfolio it becomes more balanced over time. It is lacking sectors. Tabacco stocks: Personal preference, won’t debate the profitabillity of this sector. This might be a...

Sunday, July 19, 2015. It's almost 9 am here and the rest of the house is sleeping. Granted everybody was up late last night as we had a BBQ last night. We had 10 people over last night for a neighborhood BBQ and it was so much fun. This pic is from the middle of my garden. It's right next to our old barn. Y would like to tear this down but I love the way it looks. Maybe I will post more pics this weekend. Have a good week! July 19, 2015 at 7:30 AM. July 19, 2015 at 8:53 AM. I love the barn! Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Another side note that's important to me: I encourage you to call your Senators who voted not to defund Planned Parenthood. This is not about women's rights. Women should always have the right to say no. It's not okay to use our tax dollars for an organization that is selling fetus body parts. If you think that you're going to leave me a comment in my blog about changing my mind. Forget it. Never going to happen. August 4, 2015 at 8:53 PM. August 5, 2015 at 1:58 AM. This isnt the...

Five Reasons Why Living Without a Car Is Awesome | No More Waffles
http://www.nomorewaffles.com/2014/12/five-reasons-why-living-without-a-car-is-awesome
A 26-year-old Belgian's journey to financial independence. Five Reasons Why Living Without a Car Is Awesome. December 8, 2014. This is a weird post to write because I’ve actually never owned a car, so how could I compare car ownership to being car-less, right? Anyway, living without a car is awesome and here’s why. 1 No traffic jams. When asked which city has the worst traffic worldwide you’d probably answer Paris, London, L.A. or New York, but you’d be dead-wrong. The number one ...On top of that, bikin...
