Spacesuits - The Pier's Edge
http://thepiersedge.livejournal.com/6578.html
Just for fun, this sketch really can't be taken seriously. I wanted to try out some design doodling for imaginary space suits. Nothing special at all, and definitely not realistic. Posted on Dec. 13th, 2006. Powered by LiveJournal.com.

The Pier's Edge

Created during highschool art class, this piece was an experiment with a different medium, as usual based on a photograph. I'm satisfied with it, except that her face appears fairly flat without heavier shadows. Posted on Dec. 4th, 2006. Powered by LiveJournal.com.

Drawn in my highschool sketchbook, this is one of my first tries at combining pen and pencil in a sketch, also serving as a nice musculature study. I liked this style, and began using pen and pencil together more often. Posted on Dec. 21st, 2006. Drawn in my highschool sketchbook. A simple and straightforward sketch from a photo. The Pier's Edge
http://thepiersedge.livejournal.com/tag/painting
Created as part of a highschool final project, I wanted to break out of standard dimensions and create a landscape painting. In the end I thought I could have done better as I had gone thin on the paint, and the canvas colour was muddying the blues of the sky. I did, however, enjoy the contrast between the sweeping clouds and sharpness of the mountain tops. Posted on Dec. 21st, 2006. Created as a highschool project. Mainly a study of cloud and sky. In a moment of inspiration, I simply opened a paint program and drew out an inspired version of an older photo from a camp I'd been to recently. I'm fairly pleased with the result.
