Dreaming of dim sum… | She Cut the Stars out of the Sky

The Wiggedy Whack on the JLMACK. She Cut the Stars out of the Sky. And baked them in a pie. Dreaming of dim sum… November 25, 2011. 8212; jlmack @ 10:45 pm. Saturday morning is my favourite time of the week. I get up, I go to the market, I pick up the Globe and Mail, some dim sum, and some quinoa salad for the week. Then, I head over to the coffee shop, eat my dim sum, and drink coffee while I do the crossword puzzle in the Globe. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. A Little Bit Of Happy.

So, I realized tonight that I’ve slightly miscalculated my running distances. I’ve remapped my route, and now I’m back on track. I ran about 7 km tonight. It took me 45 minutes, and I feel pretty good. Tired, but good. Tom’s on the 21st, I hope! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Address never made public).

I think every woman in my workplace tried them on today. The colours are so much fun! I have started my Christmas presents for DeeDee and Molly. I think they’ll be quick knits… and I can’t wait to see my girls wearing them. Hooray! 4 Responses to “They’re finished! November 23, 2011 at 11:08 am. The Paintings of Li...

Winter’s here! | She Cut the Stars out of the Sky

The Wiggedy Whack on the JLMACK. She Cut the Stars out of the Sky. And baked them in a pie. November 23, 2011. 8212; jlmack @ 10:42 pm. Really, really here. It started this morning and quickly turned into a greasy, slippery mess. I ws happy to get home and drink a bucketload of tea. This time of year, I always ask myself the same question. Why are Canadians always surprised when winter comes? It makes me giggle. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Address never made public). Yes, I knit.

Has it been lost in the post? | She Cut the Stars out of the Sky

The hat I sent out almost two weeks ago still hasn’t reached its destination (the west coast of Canada). Or, it has, and the recipient hated it. If it’s not there by the end of this week, I’ll let the recipient know there is something out there for him/her. Yikes I’m worried. Patience is a vulture. Yes, I knit.

Marti's Little Workshop: July 2011
http://martislittleworkshop.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 30, 2011. Someday I will be able to start and complete a project without interruption. Someday I will no longer have tools adorning my living space (like the air compressor that has lived in the landing upstairs for over a year) and I won't have to pass it off as 'reno chic'. Somday my husband will work a nine to five kind of shift and we'll see him more. Someday this house will be done. I might not be living here by that time, but it'll be done. Maybe I shouldn't do that anymore? By then,...

Marti's Little Workshop: Between the Hours of 11 and 3...
http://martislittleworkshop.blogspot.com/2012/02/between-hours-of-11-and-3.html
Monday, February 06, 2012. Between the Hours of 11 and 3. I'm waiting for the cable guy. And my daughter is with the sitter this morning, so I find myself in that weird place of total autonomy and no clue what to do with it. So why not blog. A good friend of mine just had her first baby about a week ago, coincidentally enough, on my birthday! Very smooshy, very comfy. I was quite pleased that it was done in plenty of time for shipping too, as I was worried that I wasn't going to make it. My birthday budd...

Marti's Little Workshop: September 2011
http://martislittleworkshop.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 07, 2011. Are you like this? You think a line from a movie is amusing, so it gets stuck in your vocabulary for a while? Around those closest to you, it becomes an in-joke, a common phrase you throw around. For now, she's too busy announcing to the wide world when she's successfully used the washroom in public, so I think I'm safe for a while. This is us, being all family-like and having a good time. But you're here to see knitting I suppose. Time for a little catch-up. Just in the Kn...

Marti's Little Workshop: May 2013
http://martislittleworkshop.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 23, 2013. I've been trying to compose this post for a while now, knowing it was coming. I think back to the post I wrote for my daughters first birthday, how concise and profound it seems to me now. I wanted to honour my son's milestone with some equal profundity. But he relaxed over time, and once he was able to eat what he really wanted, which was what was on our plates, and move where he wanted, which was just about everywhere, he was as happy as a clam.
