Thursday, April 30, 2009. Last month, my sister and I had our kids' picture taken by a sweet girl, Stacy Buxton Mitchell, from DeQuincy. She has a two-year-old herself, so she knew just how to get our little ones to smile and be happy, all while playing in the park! It's a good thing, because I could have never narrowed it down in a portrait package. I couldn't hardly narrow it down just for this posting! Feb 26, 2009. I should be working on my portfolio that is due at the school board office by noon tomorrow. Two months ago I was voted Teacher of the Year for my school (2010.next year). There are a ton of requirements. I still haven't decided that it is truly an honor. It seems like more work for me to complete! I should be working on it, however, I am procrastinating! This is our blog. Monday, November 17, 2008. Shrimp Grits, of course! I do not know what shrimp grits, or shrimp and grits is supposed to be, but several months ago i came up with my own version. And, as always, each outcome is different since i never make it the same way twice. Tonight i added bacon and pickapeppa sauce (b/c i was out of tabasco) for the first time and it was great! This is our blog. Monday, June 30, 2008. Sunday, we ate at our favorite after-church-lunch-place in Fort Worth, Cafe Modern. It is the restaurant inside the Modern Art Museum. The menu changes four times a year to go along with the four seasons. As of yesterday, we have experienced all four seasons/menus. Hold on to your hats, because Austin got the TIRAMISU PANCAKES and I got the modern omelet with fresh friut. Both dishes were very delicious, but Austin's took the (pan)cake!
