The Heart of the Apple Universe – The Butter Cloud
https://thebuttercloud.wordpress.com/2016/01/24/the-heart-of-the-apple-universe
My food and travel diary. The Heart of the Apple Universe. January 24, 2016. The Apple Shed is so well worth a stop. It is pretty much the first thing you see when driving into Huon Valley from Hobart (it’s a nice drive with much serenity by the way). There is also a cafe which serves a simple menu of regional products of the highest quality, and a cellar that has a range of the most delicious ciders. This place celebrates the best things in Tasmania! Drive: 35 mins South of Hobart in the Huon Valley.
Finding treasures at the Finders Keepers Market – The Butter Cloud
https://thebuttercloud.wordpress.com/2013/03/21/finding-treasures-at-the-finders-keepers-market
My food and travel diary. Finding treasures at the Finders Keepers Market. March 21, 2013. March 21, 2013. I love going to markets, especially ones where local independent artists and designers showcase their work to the whole world. I can’t even remember how I found out about The Finders Keepers Market, but since the first event I went to in 2010, I have been going to almost every other one that is held in Sydney. It’s a great place to pick up rare artworks and trinkets! Click to share on Pinterest (Ope...
Kürtősh at The Spot – The Butter Cloud
https://thebuttercloud.wordpress.com/2013/03/20/kurtosh
My food and travel diary. Kürtősh at The Spot. March 20, 2013. March 21, 2013. One of my favourite afternoon tea/ supper places in the Eastern Suburbs is Kürtősh at The Spot in Randwick. This little patisserie offers a comfortable and homey setting loved by the locals. It is constantly a busy place especially by night where people stop by for a coffee and cake after dinner. I especially love their soft and light baked cheesecake and their Hungarian Dobos Torte, which is a 7-layered sponge cake, layered w...
Macaron Craze – La Belle Miette – The Butter Cloud
https://thebuttercloud.wordpress.com/2013/03/28/macaron-craze-la-belle-miette
My food and travel diary. Macaron Craze – La Belle Miette. March 28, 2013. March 28, 2013. Nowadays almost every cafe or patisserie sells macarons. I have a sweet tooth, but have never been overly obsessed with them. However this elegant store has gotten me all excited about this delicate French confectionery. The logo and illustrations on the pastel gift boxes were hand drawn by a Melbourne graphic artist named Kano Hollamby. And just look at their Easter macarons. Click to email (Opens in new window).

Princess in the Kitchen. Never eat more than you can lift – Miss Piggy. April 20, 2013. Life has been busy lately! I am wrapping up my last semester of undergrad and have been up to my eyeballs with tests and papers. I have one more day of class, then finals, and then graduation!
