August 1, 2007. I now officially declare this blog dead. Reason being that initially some of the members got lazy but up to this point of time, 3 members including myself have proper day jobs which greatly reduces probabilities of chancing upon interesting articles to share. The other member is just being a lazy ass fark. You are still able to view our personal blogs. I know mine is active as well as Zizou’s though I cannot say the same for the rest. 24V to 12V/5V Power Regulator Design. August 12, 2015. The concept was fairly simple. I have 24 volts and 15 amps in, and I need to power 4 items; Smootieboard (5V at 1a), Raspberry Pi (5V at 700ma), lights (12V at 1.2a) and a fan (12V at 300ma). Using two LM338T voltage regulators and two 7805 voltage regulators with a bunch of capacitors to help smooth out the power, and, in theory, this should work. Once the board gets here, I will solder the components and test it out. Hope all works well. May 2, 2015.
