The sister's background in regional farming production has enabled them to locate ingredients from farms across the region, a factor which combined with the quality and uniqueness of the products has attracted a growing fan base, including the BBC which recently featured them on the regional news. We try our best to make sure that all of our ingredients travel no more than 30 miles before they are turned into delicious cakes!

We would like to introduce a new addition to The Cake Root and if taster sessions at our local farmers market are anything to go by it's proving to be a very popular choice with our customers. Our original Courgette Pistachio and Lemon Cake is again baked with the finest of ingredients including fresh courgettes, sunflower oil, free range eggs, lemon juice and lemon zest. then finished off with a tangy lemon drizzle topping. A taste like heaven for 2011.
