During this time our bodies and genes adapted for optimal survival through a hunter and gather lifestyle. Our genes today are nearly identical to those of our earliest ancestors over 120,000 years ago yet most of us eat, move, and think in a way that is totally incongruent with those genes. So the question is what did these people eat?

So I decided to give it another go with Sarah's recipe. As she states, this meal was a HUGE hit. I am now a meatloaf believer. Inspired from Everyday Paleo. 1 diced red onion. 2 lbs of grass fed ground beef. 1 cup almond meal. 1 can tomato paste. 1 tbsp crushed garlic. 1/2 tbsp sea salt. 2 tbsp dried basil. Cracked black pepper to taste.

Chicken enchiladas with green chili sour cream sauce. 10 soft taco shells. 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken. 2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese. 3 Tbsp. butter. 3 Tbsp. flour. 2 cups chicken broth. 1 cup sour cream. 1 (4 oz) can diced green chillies. 1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Juice of one lemon. 1/2 tsp ground ginger. 2 tbsp corn starch. 4 Serve chicken breasts over rice or shred the chicken, place back in the crock pot and serve on rolls.

Monday, November 1, 2010. Pictures Pictures and more pictures! In August my Dad drove from California with me back to Texas. Yes I ventured to California from Texas by myself with 4 kids. It wasn't that bad, but I won't be doing it again. While my Dad was here we went to the Stockyards in Fort Worth. Isn't my Dad great? He was pretending to be the Coachman. We also went to the Dallas Arboretum. It was beautiful, but it poured down rain on us. Biggest Lily pads I've ever seen. Went to the Texas State Fair.
