There and back again from Chicago to New Zealand. When on the verge of a nervous breakdown, turn to mud and life-affirming talks. May 19, 2011. Many, many things have happened, but as usual, I suck at posting about them. Last night Dakota and I had a nice little din din of sourdough, brie, apples, jam, and I made a dessert I learned from a fruit-obsessed wwoofer who I met on my farmstay–stewed plums, plus coconut cream and diced apples and pears. I am reverting back to eating healthy! You dirty fool....

There and back again from Chicago to New Zealand. 8220;What a week I’m having! April 29, 2011. The view from one of my host's houses in Golden Bay. My Dad loves that quote, it’s Gene Levy in Splash. Love that movie. Saw a ton of pukeko too and had an odd encounter with some roosters), almost puked from driving up the curvy and gorgeous (sounds like I’m talking about a lady) Takaka Hill. I have a lot to look forward to, and I’m fucking psyched. Glowin’ like a cave worm. April 19, 2011 1 Comment. Afterward...

“Happy fuckin’ birthday!” | AWAY I GO
https://thecavortingcallaghan.wordpress.com/2011/07/02/happy-fuckin-birthday
There and back again from Chicago to New Zealand. 8220;Happy fuckin’ birthday! July 2, 2011. I had one of the best birthdays of my life on Saturday, in fact, just one of the best nights of my life in general. Though my real 21st birthday was on Tuesday (June 28th), it was Victoria’s 20th on Saturday, so we had a double celebration. And so it became the most epic of all Saturday nights. 1 pre-game at my place. One of my favorite quotes of the evening of Megan’s: “I like tequila! 4 Back to Bodega! Of $10 f...

And Then There Was One. Emily left this morning, which was equal parts hectic and sad, but it was inevitable. I spent the day grocery shopping and drinking bubble tea, for which I have a new found love! Last night Emily and I went with Dakota, Lauren, Megan, and her friend Kristen who is visiting, to roller derby. Check them out: http:/ www.myspace.com/newtownrocksteady/music/songs/newtown-rock-82103843. So, its pretty gnarly. But, its also pretty effective. Its due Thursday, and I still have to ...Schoo...

Final Countdown | Devin Down Under
https://devindownunder.wordpress.com/2011/06/23/final-countdown
I only have 5 full days left and then one day of traveling, so things are getting pretty down to. The wire. I have been doing the things I wanted to make sure to do before I left. I took a bus to a suburb (sortof) of Wellington called Lower Hutt to go to a museum there called The Dowse. It was not as superb as the modern museum in Wellington, but it was definitely worth checking out! I saw some things which have given me ideas for my senior project, which I am very excited about! Ten Days | Devin Down Under

The last few days have been spent doing things in Wellington that I have been putting. Off Lauren, Dakota, and I hiked Mt Victoria, which is right outside Wellington, went to the zoo (where we saw kiwis, a tuatara and a giraffe almost touched me! I would say that I know that its time to go home and bring back everything I’ve learned and apply it. Its also time to go back to work and earn some bucks! Final Countdown →. Final Handins and What Followed. So last week was final handins and I would say that I did pretty well. For VCD I totally remade the images for my book. They do look way better, but I was irked when the tutor told me to redo them. I was really happy with the final product! The night after handins we went to Boogies, and also to a neat show at Bodega. I took a lot of pictures on both islands, all of which will be on facebook. For now, heres a few. After getting back into Auckland I ate a huge burger from Wendy’s, which was weird and salty, and now I’m resting. I am pretty exhausted from two days of intense walking. Its supposed to rain to tomorrow so I’m planning on sleeping in and then going to the two main museums in the city. Woo hoo! Final Handins and What Followed. Tuesday the 14th →. City Gallery and Inspiration | Devin Down Under

City Gallery and Inspiration. A couple of days ago I went to the City Gallery. After hearing about how great it was from Nell. The walk there wasn’t half bad either. In fact, it was a gorgeous day. I just found this amazing speech that Amanda Palmer gave to a graduating class at an art college today. I found it really touching because I am pretty nervous about this whole art thing and how its going to work out when I graduate. That being said, I’m loving every minute of it. And Then There Was One. Kelsey...

Sex Education's Perfect Example
Sex Education's Perfect Example. When my high school sex education teacher told us that it only takes one time to get pregnant, she wasn't kidding. When my son was 5 months old I found out that I was pregnant with my daughter. This is my little place to track my journey through 3 kids under 4, while trying to stay sane (trying being the operative word). I am the perfect example. Wednesday, March 21, 2012. The Cavo Family
Sunday, July 19, 2015. We survived our first international vacation as a family of four and it was actually GREAT! I'm amazed at how precious and easy going Miss Madelyn is. And Ezra is getting more and more fun. Ezra wanted to make sure we didn't forget his Buzz and Woody dolls so he was stuffing them in the luggage. It was cute! While in Thailand we had some work meetings and visa applying to do but we also had lots of family fun! Another day we went to the mall and there was a sports store. Luke a...

The Cav's Travels
Wednesday, August 7, 2013. Ellie 9 months - the Busy Baby! And then it happens. All in the same couple of weeks, your baby starts to crawl, get teeth, learn to whine, and learn to: crawl to your feet crawl up your legs stand up on your feet put her hands up and hold onto your legs whine for you so you pick her up. This is her look while saying "dadadadada". And the other mom agreed - we had definite "bye bye" action. Ha! It has not yet been repeated though. Can't see them yet but teeth are there! I guess...
