Systems Around Us–angquago’s blog. The Center for Improved Living. Posted on 2008, April 3. I live in a small city in Southern Mindanao, Philippines. Is the operative word there, rather than. We have a small, sub-par mall. Small communities. Narrow roads. Only one or two social watering holes. And, a small airport. To get to...

Crittergal's Rambles: Mancub Meets Jungle Gym
http://mamicrittergal.blogspot.com/2007/07/mancub-meets-jungle-gym.html
Monday, July 16, 2007. Mancub Meets Jungle Gym. I got to see the mancub for the first time on Saturday. He looks perfect! Not too thin at all. T-Bone said he is 41 pounds and 41 inches tall, which the pediatrician said is just right. He does seem to have some sort of obstructive respiratory issue, however. The doc recommended having his adenoids removed but I really don’t want to take out lymphatic tissue unless absolutely necessary. He is an explosion of energy! 8221; I chirped. 8220;Now.”. T-Bone quick...

Crittergal's Rambles: Some Everyday Vignettes
http://mamicrittergal.blogspot.com/2008/08/some-everyday-vignettes.html
Thursday, August 28, 2008. Here's some stuff that happened to me recently:. The day before when I was walking, a woman was pulling out of the parking lot and trying to turn onto Bel Pre Rd. As she sat waiting, all of a sudden her trunk popped open. She put the car in park and started to get out when I saw she had a baby in the car. I called out, "Hey, I got it! And Gypsy and I ran up and closed the trunk. The special thing was her face when she said thank you. She looked so happy and relieved. I don't kn...

Monday, August 25, 2008. Another exchange about meditation. Some thoughts about meditating:. If that makes sense. And start waving at everybody. The body's tiny shiftings, like breath, drive the mind atop its canal of focus so that it skims the wave from swell to crest, diverting it at the last moment before the crash to catch the next swelling. Crittergal's Rambles: puppy love 4/12/08
http://mamicrittergal.blogspot.com/2008/08/puppy-love.html
Monday, August 25, 2008. So my brother Paul was able to join me for meditation at the DC Shambhala Center. One evening a few months ago. Afterward he said he really enjoyed the experience but . . . well, he wasn't quite sure. He should meditate. What's the point? Here is what I wrote:. I've been thinking about your question "Why meditate? Here’s my attempt to answer that. Okay, now that I got that off my chest:. Whereas usually you might be thinking about what Kelley said last night or that annoying comm...

Crittergal's Rambles: Ticken Yiddo
http://mamicrittergal.blogspot.com/2007/10/ticken-yiddo.html
Wednesday, October 31, 2007. I discovered over the weekend that the mancub did not yet have a Halloween costume. "But honey! I cried to poor T-Bone. "He has to have a Halloween costume! All the other little kids at daycare will have one and he'll feel left out! After all, what might it mean to a boy's fragile psyche to dress up as a chicken? Might I be condemning him to a lifetime of dead-end jobs? Then again, I told myself, it could be worse. What if he turned out to be a blood-flinging wack-job? The ma...

Tuesday, October 31, 2006. My laptop is sitting cool and quiet on my windowsill, it has not been turned on for days. Because I can't turn it on! My power cord literally broke overnight, and it looks like I'll have to order a new one from America. So until then, its back to pen and paper, and I'll post when I can. But when I look...

I Organize You: Windmill Cookies
http://iorganizeyou.blogspot.com/2007/12/windmill-cookies.html
Tuesday, December 04, 2007. Happy thoughts of my childhood today. Going to grandma's house, laughing and playing. Snacking on chips, candy, cookies . pretty much whatever my brother and I wanted. Afterall, we were at Grandma and Pa's house). And eating Windmill Cookies! Geez, I cannot remember the last time I ate one. While working with a family today, I was offered a Windmill cookie. That project story to follow later this week). What memory do you have about your grandma? Created by Angie Weid. I think...
