Wednesday, June 8, 2011. So what in the world are we up to now, you might ask. Well it’s been eight weeks now since we have moved back to Texas. You would think that would be sufficient time to get re-adjusted to life in the states but after living abroad for almost five years, sometimes we feel more foreign than we do normal! It doesn’t help that we came home because of unforeseen reasons but God is proving as always that His ways are clearly not our ways anyway. The director of the RN program said he w...

The Butcher Block: November 2010
http://thebutcherblock2.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 17, 2010. Just in case your curious about what a home might look like here in. A typical wooden style home (Outside). Inside the wooden home. you can see the dinning room table, the armoir and the stove. This is a very common mud home just outside the city, built of just that sticks and mud! And what I like to call a "sign" home. built of. you guessed it, signs! I have yet to find a "middle class" here, it seems that you are either very impoverished or very rich! Links to this post.

Little somethings about our life in the Rio Grande Valley and ministry at FBC Pharr. Friday, July 9, 2010. Our Sweet Sweet Lily Anastasia was born on March 29th. I was so excited about meeting her, but sooo very nervous about the c-section. I had to take a deep breath and pray about every single thing they did to me from the iv to the spinal tap. You would think that doing this for the 4th time would make it easier, but it didn't.in fact I was more scared. Bean Dreams and Taco Tales. Rod and Myra Fry.

Wednesday, June 22, 2011. The Child the World Passed By. I saw her fragile frame first thing. Inside concrete walls built high. With hundreds of neglected hands, lifted up to mine. Some saying 'mommy', some falling silent. All of them hoping that I had come to save them. Cutting sharp through quite chaos. Her strained eyes caught hold of mine. The Child the world passed by. And every time I come to visit. Her little arm predictably wraps tightly 'round. And her face gets tucked away. A broken home,.

Sunday, September 20, 2009. Here are some photos of Mexico, through Jason's eyes! Posted by The Butcher Block. Links to this post. Saturday, September 5, 2009. A Trip to Mexico. home! Jason has this theory and I think he is on to something. he thinks that the reason our hearts feel less than alive here on the states side is because God doesn't want us to get too comfortable during our stay on the Texas border! And though this border town is NOT my hearts desire. we instantly felt at home! Every night he ...
