The Crunchy Guru: December 2009
http://thecrunchyguru.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Follow me on my journey to crunchy living. Monday, December 14, 2009. I came across this video today and was taken aback. I just want to say: Seriously? Do you honestly believe the trash you are spewing? Sure there is archeological evidence of babies getting a substitute to mother's milk. What you failed to mention this was only if the mother truly had no milk, died, etc. Usually another mother nursed that baby. Choke on that one. So the woman remained behind, and gave her son suck until she weaned him.

The Crunchy Guru: August 2011
http://thecrunchyguru.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Follow me on my journey to crunchy living. Tuesday, August 23, 2011. Why I Am No Longer AP (eye roll). AP parents believe that crying unattended leads to higher cortisol levels, anxiety, distrust, weight loss and general failure to thrive. When a small child or baby cries you should answer that cry. They believe that nursing and co-sleeping should continue into toddler hood. That most importantly we should treat our children with love and respect. Life isn't all roses and glitter. There are consequen...

Annabella is quite the conversationalist these days, and so many people keep telling me I should write all the fun things she says down. and they're right I should! So here I go. :-) I have several more "thought-provoking" posts rattling around in my head, that perhaps one of these days I'll get down to actually writing, but for now. enjoy Annabella's little quips of wisdom. I drop something i...

The Crunchy Guru: Anjali Weaned
http://thecrunchyguru.blogspot.com/2011/08/anjali-weaned.html
Follow me on my journey to crunchy living. Sunday, August 21, 2011. There is no greater high than holding your child's tiny warm body close to your heart and know that your body is providing the ultimate nutrition. Their big eyes looking up at you with complete trust. Their heart beat is yours. I'm sad that this point in our lives ended but feel proud of all I have provided my daughter with. I hope that when she is grown she will fondly remember nursing and pass that love to her children. I'm a lactivist...

Follow me on my journey to crunchy living. Monday, June 14, 2010. Artificial Womb vs. Natural Pregnancy. A substitute for natural pregnancy has been developed by Breed Bronson, Inc., makers of Infantill formula and other baby products. The YOUterus/Plus-centa unit was introduced in pharmacies and discount stores nationwide today. When asked if such technology would be an acceptable substitute for a woman's experience of new life developing within her, the representative stated: "We believe it will be fai...

An ongoing chronicle of the many adventures and daily happenings of this branch of the Carr Clan. June 10, 2010. Well, after many months of waiting, we are officially moving back to Portland, Oregon! I have to admit it's a very bittersweet situation. On one hand, we are all eager for Nathan to begin his path toward becoming a Renewable Energy Engineer (our main reason for moving to Oregon), and we're super excited about the plan to get out of debt while he's doing it! Well in the words of our old Pioneer...

http://carrchronicles.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
An ongoing chronicle of the many adventures and daily happenings of this branch of the Carr Clan. January 02, 2010. Just Let Her Cry. Wow that's really all I can say is wow. What a startlingly thought provoking perspective on the "crying it out" issue. Wow so profound. In an age when people are STARVING for community and connectedness and relationships and dare I say. touch, why is it that some can seemingly so easily deprive even the littlest ones of this fading commodity? Start the New Year out right&#...

So not only is my baby girl walking ALL over the place, and talking some she's also a whole year old! We had party for her at my mom's house. My grandpa came all the way from Kansas and we had some good friends come to help celebrate. Bella got to spend the day with her Aunt Rachel and Uncle Ben too so that was super fun. She was blessed with LOTS of fun gifts! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
