Sunday, October 26, 2014. Lego Exhibit at Science World. They had a Lego exhibit at our local science centre in the early spring, so of course we had to go and check it out. Lego steam engine boat. There were places to build your own cars, too. Abigail was somewhat amused by the Lego, but not nearly as amused as she was at the water station. Check this out, Mom. I'm goin' in! Wednesday, July 23, 2014. Ice at Queen Elizabeth Park. On the day that Sam came down with the stomach flu, I stayed home with him while Chris took the rest of the kids, with my sister Natalee, and my mom, to Queen Elizabeth park, where the pond had frozen over. Obviously they ignored the danger signs. Eh heh. (Chris assured me that it was absolutely frozen solid and the pond was very shallow to begin with.). Jonathan: Focused and determined. Tuesday, December 31, 2013. In early December, Abigail turned one. She continues to be a happy, easy-going little baby who seems to be moving into toddlerhood at a rapid pace. For instance, I found her sitting cross-legged with her cup of Cheerios just the other day, and thought it made her look so "grown-up.". Thursday, August 27, 2015. Strawberry Picking in July 2014. Sam was diligent in his picking this year (well, last year now). No instruction necessary! Sweet, red strawberries. Chris, hard at work. :). John, patiently working with Evelyn to help her pick some berries. Jonathan wasn't really interested in picking (or eating) strawberries, so he played with Abigail in between the rows. And gave the girls rides in the wagon. Evelyn, pretending to sleep. Climbing around on the big tractor. Down to the beach.

Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Beach in June 2014. So much time at the beach last summer. Abigail tries to shovel up the ocean. Evelyn pauses to avoid the floating seaweed. Bag o' sand toys, scattered on the beach. Jonathan plays with our friend John's childhood Tonka truck! Look, Mom. I'm sandy! Might as well lie down in it. Might as well sit in it. Might as well dump it on my head. Meanwhile, on this day, Evelyn remained unsure about taking off her high-fashion Crocs and socks. There I am again.
