The Clueless Homeowners: July 2010
http://thecluelesshomeowners.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 30, 2010. So after the big living room project, we'll be closing in on the finish line. All of the projects we have left are things that we will either have to hire a pro for (new carpet) or we just have to pick out (new dining room table). We do have to replace the tile in the kitchen and bathrooms, but that's a job that will probably wait until we replace the carpet, so we can be sure that the floors throughout the house can coordinate. Now, it is nearly impossible to capture such a small ...

Friday, February 11, 2011. Thank you Thomas Edison, for pretty much everything we enjoy today. But most of all, for inspiring me to care about science, math, and how things work. The Clueless Homeowners: June 2010
http://thecluelesshomeowners.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 27, 2010. We wanted to cheer up the front of our house and celebrate the season. But we didn't want to spend a lot of money doing it. So this weekend, I whipped up a couple of quick projects on the cheap to brighten up the place! First, I spruced up our front door wreath with some red berries and some red and blue ribbon. That's a little more like it! We also moved the red chairs from the back porch out front. It's now a great place to sit and read during our many summer thunderstorms! Once ...

The Clueless Homeowners: September 2010
http://thecluelesshomeowners.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 27, 2010. I'm not even sure when the last time I posted was, but I've been so busy at work that I've barely had time to come up for air, much less work on any projects. I think since I last posted, the only thing I've done is touch up the fireplace. The touch-ups really sharpened the whole look and Brett is totally on board with the black fireplace now. Posted by Sarah @ The Clueless Homeowners. Monday, September 13, 2010. Just so you know I'm not dead. But I've been taking it easy as f...

The Clueless Homeowners: Hi
http://thecluelesshomeowners.blogspot.com/2010/12/hi.html
Tuesday, December 28, 2010. Let's ignore the fact that it's been a month and a half since I last posted. Okay? Life got busy. I got busy. Excuses, excuses. Let's jump in. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! The weekend before the big day, I got to host our family Christmas for the first time ever. It was wonderful to have my parents, brother, and sister in law in our home for some family time and a wonderful meal. And we did a great job hosting if I do say so myself. The original look was supposed...

The Clueless Homeowners: Thrifting anyone?
http://thecluelesshomeowners.blogspot.com/2011/02/thrifting-anyone.html
Tuesday, February 22, 2011. In the past couple of weeks, we've made some great small purchases. No furniture, although we found some awesome mid-century chairs at one sale. Too bad they were already sold. The painting is from 79 and cost us $15. We dropped it off to be framed last week, and chose a flat front white frame. I can't wait to get it back and figure out where to put it. At the same sale, I also got two enamel bangles and we picked up a Mark Twain paperback. I love turquoise and red. And I ...

The Clueless Homeowners: August 2010
http://thecluelesshomeowners.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 29, 2010. I love our bedroom. I really do. It's calming, it's soft, and the wall color, Oyster Bay, is still one of my favorites in the house. This was the second room we made over in the house, and I really think that color choice is the one that set the tone for the rest of the house, and ended in the cohesive cool loveliness we've got going on now. But I have a real craving for something new in there. I think I want another bedding option. But, I also have the strong desire for a think,...

The Clueless Homeowners: May 2010
http://thecluelesshomeowners.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 31, 2010. After over a week off work, I'm heading back to work in the morning. I'm not going to lie, the thought of it is giving me a sad. And the though of getting up to go to the gym before work after a week off makes me want to cry. But I had a great week off and got so much done! The projects I did (and some that I started and nee to finish) have me really excited. I'm an unashamed Ikea fangirl, people. This place is my home. I'm pretty sure I could literally live in here. I came with a m...

The Clueless Homeowners: Gray and White
http://thecluelesshomeowners.blogspot.com/2011/01/gray-and-white.html
Monday, January 24, 2011. It's no secret that gray is my favorite color (I-i-i felt so symbolic yesterday). When we moved in almost two years ago, the second room we made over was our bedroom. The first was the guest bathroom, which we've already completely redone again. Honestly, we made some decisions in our bedroom that we wouldn't make again. But this is a much bigger room, and these decisions involve a lot more expense. So we're going to work with them. I got the new Stripe Duvet Cover with Euro Sha...
