The Bean Blog: January 2012

http://thecocobeanblog.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

Friday, January 20, 2012. Get ready for the rain! Rain water is best for plants as it does not contain fluoride, chlorine and all of the other chemicals that come in your tap and hose water. Rain water is full of Nitrogen which the plants love. move your plants to catch as much as possible! Friday, January 13, 2012. I trust you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year. I came back from vacation to some very grown up bulbs! However my 4th of July rose is still crazy blooming! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The Bean Blog: June 2012

http://thecocobeanblog.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html

Thursday, June 28, 2012. The potatoes have died, it was a sad day. I didn't want to pull them from the ground but I did. I found a couple small potatoes that had grown and I have taken them home to cook. I replanted with dill, onions and cucumbers. Next time, I will plat them when it's warmer, I think it was too cold and then too hot.sigh. Wednesday, June 13, 2012. Summer, Crook Neck or Yellow squash.no matter what you call it, it's grown and was my first harvest yesterday! Knee High by the 4th of July.

Sunday, November 27, 2011. Have you planted your bulbs yet. I realize it should be colder but hey, it's California! Now IS the time. Check out my new Neon Amaryllis, nice, right? Tuesday, November 22, 2011. People ask me why I still take art classes. I wouldn't presume to know everything about art, keep learning, keep growing. I took a drawing class on Saturday. It was ssssoooo nice! Takes me back to art school days! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Follow my website too www.leavesfromthewoods.com.

Torts and Tarts: Brick by Brick

http://tortstarts.blogspot.com/2010/06/this-house.html

Friday, June 25, 2010. This house. I swear it would come crashing down in seconds if either Alex or I turned our heads for just a minute. The things that these kids think up just astounds me. Remember the old saying, your parents' greatest revenge is you having kids.so.true. Just a few seconds ago, I found C2 wedging silverware that he had pilfered from the dishwasher (who the hell taught him to open that, anyhow? Want a little window into my reality? 1 No peeing on your brother. They are so freakin' luc...

Torts and Tarts: Is there ever enough?

http://tortstarts.blogspot.com/2010/07/is-there-ever-enough.html

Monday, July 19, 2010. Is there ever enough? This year, we have added hurtles of activities for both C1 and C2 and a commitment from me to get my butt to the gym 6 days a week. I have a feeling the mornings are going to start getting earlier and earlier as the boys get older. Kids have been sick the past few days. Combine that with some rain and hellacious cabin fever and you have one crabby mom. I'm hoping to mainline the caffeine today and hope that helps a bit. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Torts and Tarts: I left my baby.

http://tortstarts.blogspot.com/2009/09/i-left-my-baby.html

Sunday, September 13, 2009. I left my baby. Okay Silly metaphor over. Alex planned a wonderful date for us on Saturday. I was so excited. Finally a time when I could wear heels. The last time I wore heels, I had to chase Calvin and ended up breaking my heel and almost smashing my face into a building in the process. Needless to say, I've been cautious. The date served as a catalyst for many things - the most important of which being the reconnection between my husband and I. September 13, 2009 at 7:37 PM.

Torts and Tarts: Hello? Is this thing on?

http://tortstarts.blogspot.com/2010/06/hello-is-this-thing-on.html

Thursday, June 24, 2010. Is this thing on? Sowe haven't dropped off the face of the planet, I just questioned whether or not anybody would actually want to read the things I post here. After much reflection (like 8 months worth! I decided that my kids are just too cute and funny not to share with the world. Like it or not, they are here to stay! Where to begin on what has been happening since I last posted. Let's get you up to date with a few photos! Carved pumpkins. Hubs is a master carver! Hubs was so ...

Torts and Tarts: The heaviest of hearts

http://tortstarts.blogspot.com/2010/06/heaviest-of-hearts.html

Monday, June 28, 2010. The heaviest of hearts. I feel like such a failure. Alex and I have known for a while now that C1 exhibited all of the classic symptoms of ADHD.why we didn't act on it faster, I will never know.but I do know that I feel like such a failure because we didn't. I feel like we failed to do what is best for our son and because of that, made things harder for everyone. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Writing, Cooking and Dishwashing Mama. Torts and Tarts: The Keeper of My Heart

http://tortstarts.blogspot.com/2009/09/keeper-of-my-heart.html

Friday, September 25, 2009. The Keeper of My Heart. We have been together for 1,576 days. If I was better at math, I could have figured that out without using a calculator. Don't even ask for a breakdown of the years and months. Ain't. Gonna. Happen. We've said terrible things. Hurtful things. There have been times that I saw nothing of the man that I once married. I carried all of those times with me, little wounds in my soul. I've always known I was blessed. My children are proof that we are made i...
