Velvet Nectar: July 2013
http://velvetnectar.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 11, 2013. Hello dear readers - it has been way too long indeed. I have so much to share! I'm now living in one of my favorite cities, nestled in my beloved Appalachian Mountains - Asheville, North Carolina. I grew up visiting the area with my parents and attending summer camps. When I was 19, I spent the summer working as the hiking counselor at Keystone Camp. Last summer, I knew in my heart that I belonged in Appalachia. Opossoms, and countless birds. I see all kinds of wildflowers, o...

A blog: Musings about travel, food, culture and home. March 12, 2016. We arrived in Savannah late at night, yet the town seemed to be energized and in motion. Fair warning: street parking is quite a headache in the downtown district, so finding a parking lot is probably your best bet. We walked along Broughton Street, which seemed to be the hub for large stores and restaurants. There was a large comic book store. And conveniently nearby was the Flying Monk. Though we didn’t get to spend as much tim...

Fork This, Savannah!: Dreaming in Cookies: Modern General’s Dreamy Iced Coffee and Cookie Bar
http://forkthissavannah.blogspot.com/2014/05/dreaming-in-cookies-modern-generals.html
Fork This, Savannah! A taste of the best food in the low country. Tuesday, May 20, 2014. Dreaming in Cookies: Modern General’s Dreamy Iced Coffee and Cookie Bar. The entrance of Modern General. I picked up a “USB Mixtape” (a flash drive cleverly disguised as an audio cassette tape. The nineties child in me swooned, and I had to buy it). But the main event at Modern General is their coffee and cookie bar located in the back of the shop. Today I’m talking about their cookies, specifically. ( I. The cookie ...

Another Blog from Danielle: Oh Yeah, I Went To Savannah In April
http://daniellesotherblog.blogspot.com/2015/06/oh-yeah-i-went-to-savannah-in-april.html
Oh Yeah, I Went To Savannah In April. In April, I visited the lovely, albeit humid, city of Savannah for a girls' weekend with my mom, sister, sister-in-law and niece. It was much too fast, and much too rainy, but a wonderful time. We walked for coffee. Visited the playground at Forsyth Park and sauntered down the tree-lined streets with beers in hand (open containers, for the win! Except with fried chicken instead of turkey. We stayed in an airbnb rental. 8211; at The Crab Shack. Just For The Record.

Just For The Record. Today started off with me throwing three eggs away because I couldn't get them over easy. Then I watched almost the entire season of Bloodline on Netflix. I thought about taking Mav for a walk. Key phrase - *thought about.*. I pouted because I couldn't get the salsa jar open. I drank 2 beers and 3 glasses of wine. By myself. Just chilling watching TV. I am not proud of this. I huddled in my basement during a tornado warning (with said glass of wine). Links to this post. Right outside...
