Straight from the Padded Cell: October 2013
http://colneyhatch.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Straight from the Padded Cell. The padded cell, is a world where I try to be funny and end up offending everyone. I do not intend to be mean. In my mind, when I say something funny there will be laughter all around, it rarely works out as planned. Thursday, October 24, 2013. Evolutionarily speaking, I am a step or two behind a modern human. No, I do not have a bony ridge on my forehead or multiple layers of teeth. I am lactose intolerant. I get depressed without a steady supply of red meat. Child 1 (15 a...

Ms. Faustus: ARCHIVE POST: Reconnecting with ancestors: grandmother's house, part 1
http://msfaustus.blogspot.com/2012/08/archive-post-reconnecting-with.html
Walking the line between satiety and selling my soul for a lick of new experience. About me: the human mirror. About Ms. Faustus. Best from my former blog. August 8, 2012. ARCHIVE POST: Reconnecting with ancestors: grandmother's house, part 1. Originally published on June 29, 2011). All of that is gone now. When my grandparents died, my mother and my aunt had to sell all of the animals quickly, because living creatures need to be taken care of and cannot wait for you to wrap up your funerals and mour...

OK in UK: Cheesy Spinach Treats
http://mollieisokinuk.blogspot.com/2012/09/cheesy-spinach-treats.html
Wednesday, 5 September 2012. Do you remember the kid magazine, Highlights? Or the lite version, High Five? Non-interesting story less boring, and what's more, to the point: Kiddo and I made the Cheesy Spinach Treats tonight from the Highlights magazine. Why not? Kiddo will occasionally eat baby spinach leaves and sometimes cheese and eggs. I was thinking positively about the endeavor. Because, you know, get kids to cook with you in the kitchen and they'll want to eat what they make, right? Bake on the mi...

OK in UK: What's Good Here
http://mollieisokinuk.blogspot.com/p/whats-good-here.html
Butter- it is really really good. I indulge I think. I’ve noticed that when you buy a sandwich here, any kind of sandwich, you get buttered bread as well as mayo and/or mustard. My new patio set- I love sitting outside at 11 pm (and it is still light outside[summer]) on my stone patio, in one of my four reclining chairs, complete with glass top table and umbrella. I even know who I’m going to give it to when we leave. Indian food- Is the equivalent to Mexican food back home. Care packages from home- OMG.

OK in UK: Guest Posts
http://mollieisokinuk.blogspot.com/p/guest-posts.html
There seems to be something here. In the past month (July 2011), I've guest posted for Narragansett #7, A Perfect Dose of Life, and My Beautiful Disaster. Kelli, aka Narragansett #7, went to a writer's workshop that essentially is a kickoff of her PhD program. I think it's PhD. I got to write about that HERE. And I think it was a tribute to her life's hectic status. When Kristina moved cross country (heh, bush leagues), I jumped at the chance to write for her corner of the virtual community here. Thanks ...

OK in UK: It felt so good, it could've been me doing it.

Sunday, 17 June 2012. It felt so good, it could've been me doing it. But that's not going to stop me from helping my kid have a memory. And because it seems like no one believes us when we tell them about the weekend night dressing up. here's this one. Here's a video of him on the other side of Durham from where we were. And here he is running by me. .and away from me. It was a great feel. I hope Kiddo remembers it. 18 June 2012 at 11:48. 18 June 2012 at 13:51. I think she will. That IS kinda cool. Ive n...

Sunday, 21 October 2012. There's a lot I wish to tell you. But I don't have the words to adequately express my thanks that you shared my experiences here in NE England. I love you. It's the last evening of sitting in this arm chair. I've gone through 250 posts on front page reddit and can no longer put off addressing the issue. I'm on the plane tomorrow. So long Durham. We hardly knew you. April 2010 - October 2012. 21 October 2012 at 23:18. 22 October 2012 at 01:01. Have a safe flight! I cant imagine wh...
