No-sugar added: Banana Blueberry Bread | the common question

https://thecommonquestion.wordpress.com/2014/05/13/no-sugar-added-banana-blueberry-bread

My attempts to sort out everyday thoughts and questions. No-sugar added: Banana Blueberry Bread. May 13, 2014. May 14, 2014. I’m currently on day 23 of a no sugar added diet. So if the food contains sugar that you wouldn’t find in it naturally, I don’t eat it. No stevia, no high fructose corn syrup, no dextrose (I could keep going, but I’ll stop). While not an easy journey, I’m honestly enjoying it. One great benefit is my new-found desire to cook and bake! 1 3/4 cups flour. 1 teaspoon baking powder.

Small Things with Great Love | the common question

https://thecommonquestion.wordpress.com/2014/04/08/small-things-with-great-love

My attempts to sort out everyday thoughts and questions. Small Things with Great Love. April 8, 2014. April 8, 2014. Let’s just say March was busy and move on from there.]. This morning I was looking for some snippet, some quote, some tea-ism to bring feel-good motion to my day. Before I even tried a Google search, this little quote came to mind:. We can do no great things, only small things with great love. So I started thinking: What would driving to work with great love look like? You are commenting u...

My attempts to sort out everyday thoughts and questions. November 25, 2014. November 25, 2014. As usual, big life events have pushed me back to writing. In less than two months I’m moving and in four months I’m getting married. My near future is full of planning, packing and plotting mostly concerning DIY projects I’d like to tackle with my fiancé (kitchen table, cushioned bench, container garden). What I find remarkable is how much all of the lives around me are. No-sugar added: Banana Blueberry Bread.

Discussing April’s Challenge | the common question

https://thecommonquestion.wordpress.com/2014/05/01/discussing-aprils-challenge

My attempts to sort out everyday thoughts and questions. Discussing April’s Challenge. May 1, 2014. Acting with great love has proven to be quite a challenge. As today is the first of May, I wanted to give you all a brief update on three things I discovered about myself during my month of following Mother Teresa’s advice and acting with great love:. 1 I hold others to (impossibly? Sometimes they have no idea what was even expected of them! 2 Being mad at yourself is not a great way to start the day.

Grandma love: “Is that a new blouse?” | the common question

https://thecommonquestion.wordpress.com/2014/02/27/grandma-love-is-that-a-new-blouse

My attempts to sort out everyday thoughts and questions. Grandma love: Is that a new blouse? February 27, 2014. February 27, 2014. My friend Claire recently c0-launched a lady-focused page called Scotch and The Fox. The endeavor is lovely one, showing that women can write (and live) in a powerful, feisty, sweet, opinionated and ambitious way (I’m doing a little guest posting there). I couldn’t help but think about my grandma. You can head over to Claire’s site for a look into my style journey. It’s...

The Common Purpose | Home Of The Common Purpose Manifesto

THE COMMON PURPOSE Introduction. Purpose, Principle and Ways. The Common Purpose Manifesto is a statement of purpose and principle and an outline of what these lead to. The fundamental purpose is fulfilment. This is the purpose of life. Living is realising potential and seeking fulfilment. This purpose should be self-evident. However, current systems do not promote it. The manifesto states it and explains it so it can be achieved. After stating the purpose and principle, and the right and wrong ways, the...

The Common Queen

May 15, 2015. May 15, 2015. Be YOU: Wisdom from an 8 Year Old. I was tired, hot and hangry*. During the Rummage Sale, the temperatures in our area hit tropical level hotness when only weeks earlier (on Easter morning) snow covered the ground. Between the heat, the crazy breed of 7AM rummage sale shoppers and the longs hours I was exhausted. All I wanted was a cold shower, a big ole burger and my comfy bed. I read it out loud back to Grace, “Be You? 8220;Yup.” She smiled and skipped away. 8220;I’ve ...
