The Condensed Cat

Sunday, November 02, 2008. Summer Vacation: Day 2. This morning we made our way toward Devils Postpile National Monument. Wow. The entrance to the place was VERY high in altitude and very chilly for summer. I believe it was somewhere around 9,000 ft. At this point there is a Minaret viewpoint where I shot these two pictures. I never feel natural posing for the camera. I suppose that is why I like being behind the lens. Formations because of how many columns have 6-sides (hexigons). The other pictures don...

The Condensed Cat: July 2008

http://www.thecondensedcat.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html

Thursday, July 24, 2008. Bubble, Cabinets, Parks, and Lake Mary. Ryan is in a phase of life where he is trying to figure things out like in this classic where he is contemplating the life-cycle of a bubble. Ryan has to discover everything. Like most kids, who needs toys when you have kitchen cabinets to rummage through. This is definitely one area we didn't consider child-proofing. You can see in this second picture just how much he moves around in the cabinet. We went up as a family recently to Lake Mary.

Sunday, August 03, 2008. Ryan is An Animal.errrr.Well He Saw Animals. All the planning in the world can be thwarted so very easily. Ryan celebrated the night before his birthday by awaking several times. Needless to say, we were all tired as this day of celebration began. Thankfully, Ryan had slept for a little bit on the journey to the zoo. However, you can see he had not quite worked out all of his sleepies as he awoke to strange creatures like a barn owl. We spent the morning at Hogle Zoo. Six hours l...

The Condensed Cat: It's All in the Name

http://www.thecondensedcat.blogspot.com/2008/10/its-all-in-name.html

Saturday, October 25, 2008. It's All in the Name. We went on vacation a few weeks ago (pictures and posts forthcoming). Along our journeys in Fresno, CA. I noticed signs for "Swearengin for Mayor." What an awesome last name for political office. I wonder what will be in her acceptance speech. I don't know much about Fresno, but I think her vision for it. Is cool. Good luck! The Condensed Cat: Son Chips

http://www.thecondensedcat.blogspot.com/2008/07/son-chips.html

Wednesday, July 23, 2008. A few minutes later I again looked over my shoulder and Ryan had retrieved the bag from the garbage. He managed to find some crumbs in the bag and was eating them just as I had done. I know think of that bag of Sun Chips as "Son Chips.". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Three Willden Boys: Goodbye Grandma Bea

http://whathaveitosay.blogspot.com/2011/04/goodbye-grandma-bea.html

The Three Willden Boys. Thursday, April 14, 2011. She loved to camp, Grandpa Cec was a hunter and a fisherman, and she loved to be out camping with him. My earliest memories are of the annual gathering at deer camp among the boulders behind TV Hill. For many years my family tented but grandma's trailer was always available for warmth or games and candy, that is when we could pull ourselves away from the crowd around the fire-barrel. The Three Willden Boys: March 2010

http://whathaveitosay.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html

The Three Willden Boys. Monday, March 15, 2010. We didn't think to get before pictures, and the photo quality isn't that great because the only camera we had was a cell phone but. Today the boys got haircuts. It's blurry but note the massive rooster tail Simon is sporting. The sides are gone now to start on the long stuff on top. Any trip to this barbershop ends with a Balloon! 160;Notice the gel spiked hair. And a chance to play on the slide! And this is Ben's turn. Ben and his naturally spiky hair!

The Three Willden Boys: A Great, Great, Grandma goes home

http://whathaveitosay.blogspot.com/2011/04/great-great-grandma-goes-home.html

The Three Willden Boys. Thursday, April 14, 2011. A Great, Great, Grandma goes home. As described in the previous post, today four generations of descendent's gathered around my Grandma Bea's bed to see her off. Most of us trying to get there made it in time, about the only one who didn't was my older brother who drove all the way from Boulder CO to Beaver fighting a snow storm at rush hour and driving through wintery mountains to get there safely. Kelly and Dane Valatka. What a beautiful tribute!

The Three Willden Boys: Happy Birthday Baby Boy

http://whathaveitosay.blogspot.com/2011/04/happy-birthday-baby-boy.html

The Three Willden Boys. Friday, April 29, 2011. Happy Birthday Baby Boy. Today is the 1st Birthday of my baby boy. He's a happy playful rugrat who zooms up and down the stairs keeping an eye on you where ever you go. He's a blonde haired, grey-blue eyed little angle with a four toothed grin that stops me every time. I thought about him a lot. Glad he had a good day! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Three Willden Boys: June 2010

http://whathaveitosay.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html

The Three Willden Boys. Friday, June 25, 2010. We all went to watch the miniature float parade this evening. I love our city parade. I can't wait for my boys to be big enough to participate. But this year, we were all happy spectators:. Alex and Dad in hats:. Nancy was happy to be there. Alex had his grump on:. Simon was the best dancer on the sidelines:. Also, (this has nothing to do with the parade) we're thinking we should buy the boys a bigger backyard pool:. Saturday, June 05, 2010.

The Three Willden Boys: Six Month Check-up

http://whathaveitosay.blogspot.com/2010/11/six-month-check-up.html

The Three Willden Boys. Friday, November 05, 2010. Since Kecia reported on baby Leah's 2 month stats, I thought we'd better report on Alex's 6 month check-up. Height 27.5 Inches 83rd percentile. Weight 20.86 lbs 93rd percentile. Head 18 inches 93rd percentile. I glad to see I am not the only one in the family to have children with such BIG heads. Mine were always in the 90th percentile too! All the Porter babies had big heads! The grandma and grandpa gave them to them. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Three Willden Boys: September 2010

http://whathaveitosay.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html

The Three Willden Boys. Monday, September 20, 2010. Just A few random photo's of the boys from my camera. First, Alex and me. A Very Happy Simon playing in the tub. Our Chubby baby clear back in July, he's still chubby and at 4 1/2 months is probably nearing 20 lbs (he was at 18 at his four month checkup.). Finally all three of our boys smiling for my Camera.  . It's better than what the professional got when we took em in for portraits. Sunday, September 19, 2010. Shhh, don't Disturb. Shhh, dont Disturb.

The Three Willden Boys: November 2010

http://whathaveitosay.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html

The Three Willden Boys. Saturday, November 06, 2010. Don't these two just look delighted? Here's all four of them dressed up! Alex is a monkey, and it was going to be funny that Dirk was a banana, so the banana was carrying the monkey. But Alex did not at all like being a monkey. Ben loved his beaver costume, and Simon was happy to be a chicken. Here's the pumpkin carving! This isn't Halloween, but it was a cute smile from Alex. Friday, November 05, 2010. Height 27.5 Inches 83rd percentile. He's a big, h...
