The call of God is to share in his own mission in the world. First, he sent his Son. Then he sent his Spirit. Now he sends his church, that is, us. He sends us out by his Spirit into his world to announce his Son's salvation. He worked through his Son to achieve it; he works through us to make it known. Tuesday, July 11, 2006. This summer, our team and some helpers stood out in the rain for two full days pounding posts, stretching wire fencing and driving nails to fundraise for our trip.

To climb out of this boat I'm in. On to the crashing waves. To step out of my comfort zone. Into the realm of the unknown where Jesus is. And He's holding out His hand. This morning the sun is rising over a bed of trees. its light is wonderfully veiled by clouds that blend in and out of the sky. each minute changes the way the sun reveals itself, getting more intense. ready to burst. It colors clouds that you wouldn't even know were there- until they shine a different way. The sky is painted with texture. But not in a sad kind of way.
