The Global March for Elephants and Rhinos, is an annual event, that is held worldwide to create awareness , and to compel government authorities who have refused to ban the illegal trade in ivory. In accordance to Save The Elephants report , conducted by Ian Douglas Hamilton, between 1979-1989, half of Africa’s elephants were lost to ivory trade. This was held, on the first week of October, in Nairobi Kenya.
