The Street Photography Experience. I doubt there’s any photographic subject that generates as much hot air as street photography. Any definition is next to pointless since everyone who cares knows it when they see it – even if everyone sees a different thing. Seems there’s a wide spectrum. It’s a bit like jazz: on the one end Bix Beiderbecke on the other, perhaps, Ken Vandermark. Caracal, Romania. 2005. Poznan, Poland. 2010. Sign in with Twitter. Sign in with Facebook. Archive for the ‘books’ Category. Thursday, July 23rd, 2015. This has been one of the world’s dark places. A place where humanity has faced the limits of its deep internal inhumanity. There are many, far too many, such places around the world. Some places are bloodier, more drenched in man’s visceral savagery, than others. But all these places have some- thing in common. Something that hangs over them like a lin- gering silence in the middle of a symphony. There are large cells for holding male and female...

We’ve taken on a house refurbishment project in Islington which – when it’s finished – will allow me to have a darkroom and workspace on the lower floor. Archive for the ‘Fashion’ Category. Friday, September 2nd, 2011. So, while looking around for an industry that actually pays. For photography, my eye fell on the fashion business. Having spent the last few years banging my head against the brick wall of documentary/journalism it’s refreshing to find so many thriving outlets for pictures, but also bewildering to realise the differences – most of them not obvious. Laquo; Patrick Forbes’ Haiti documentary. April 2nd, 2011. We live in a time of promiscuous image making. People think I’m nuts. My technique seems to cause consternation in some quarters, which I’m frankly always surprised by. I’m either dismissed as a regressive dilettante or accused of willful contrariness, usually by people who don’t know what I’m trying to do. So I thought I’d set down what my technique involves then at least we’ll have it straight. Feed You can leave a response. From your own site.

Today's State of Economic Affairs. Monday, April 20, 2009. Should I Buy Citibank Stock? While switching between the NBA and NHL playoff games yesterday a friend of mine asked "Should I buy Citibank? Apparently he was under the impression that Citibank still existed as a marketable security. My reply was to tell him that the publicly traded banks had been nationalized and that they were not in the realm of the free market anymore. He looked at me like I was speaking Martian. Don't know if he will or not.
The Constant Economy - Home
What is the Constant Economy? Since the industrial revolution, our economies have grown at the expense of the natural world. But as pressure mounts on the earth’s finite resources, we can no longer pretend that business-as-usual is a realistic option. One way or another we will have to change. The longer we delay, the more our societies will be at the mercy of events and the harsher the eventual adjustments.
