David and Kathy Shenk. The life and times of a cognoscente and his bride. Wednesday, July 1, 2009. Kathy and I are relocating to Florida. She has taken a position at Broward General Medical Hospital in Fort Lauderdale. After 59 years in the great state of Pennsylvania, I am taking the plunge and hitting the sunny beaches of south Florida along with my bride. We are going to miss our grandchildren and family here, but, really, think about it, Florida! It's Florida for Christ's sake! David and Kathy Shenk.

Saturday, September 5, 2009. Here's some pictures from our weekend in Arkansas a few weeks ago. We went to Beaver Lake where Monica's parents live. It is so beautiful there. Alan finally got up on the wakeboard. I tried, but it's way too hard! Looks easier than it is. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Monday, April 5, 2010. We didn't do a whole lot. Went to church, then to eat lunch with Alan's family, then to my mom's for dinner. Had a good family day. Oh, and I FINALLY got to have chocolate! I stayed up till midnight (which I would have been up anyway) and only had 2 little pieces. I didn't want to eat a lot right before bed. It tastes better now than it ever has before! I can't believe I was able to go the whole time (and NO I did NOT eat it on Sundays) without it! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Saturday, May 2, 2009. Challenge Week 2 Update. Week 2 has ended! I couldn't believe it. It tasted so good! But I guess when you quit eating that stuff and then you eat it, it doesn't agree with you b/c your body isn't used to it. My family got dessert every time we went out to eat, but I just looked away! Good luck with week 3! So here are some pictures from the past week. This is my new 2 nd. He is only 9 weeks, and he's a big boy! He weighed almost 10 lbs when he was born! Us again with Dylan and Angel.

Tuesday, January 27, 2009. Last night when I went to work there was a lovely coating of ice over the roads. This morning there was a nice blanket of snow covering that lovely ice. Our first ice/snow storm of the year is here.yay! Tuesday, January 20, 2009. Happy Birthday, Alan! Alan's birthday was this past friday, the 16th. He's now the big 25. I can't believe it. We are getting so old :( I got him a sirius sattelite radio (which by the way is a big hassle, so don't ever get one! What a beautiful day.

Friday, December 26, 2008. Here's our tree on Christmas Eve. This is the nativity scene that Grammy made for my mom (a long time ago! And she gave it to me to have. I have always loved putting it up so I am so thankful to have it now. After spending time with Alan's family we went to my mom's. We ate again and opened presents . Shelby also got a Wii! I think Alan and I are the only one's who don't have a Wii.or a flatscreen tv for that matter :(. Here's mom playing bowling on the Wii.

Monday, February 9, 2009. Here's Hayden running back to catch the ball! Tanna and Brylee come to visit. Here we are at Chili's. After Tanna and Brylee left to go back home, Tallery and I went to Affair of the Heart together.and of course I found more stuff! That place is awesome. All of these people are teachers except for me and well, Brylee. So at Affair of the Heart they have these babies and I swear there are about 50 women, not just kids, but women around this booth going crazy about these babies!
