International Chaos: The Longing Stare of an Ewok
http://internationalchaos.blogspot.com/2011/01/longing-stare-of-ewok.html
Chaos is the score upon which reality is written" - Henry Miller. Wednesday, January 12, 2011. The Longing Stare of an Ewok. Yes, it is another blog post about an animal staring at me. The picture below is of Owen, the family dog. He has the distinct honor of having lived longer than any of our other family dogs, all whom met some sort of untimely death. You have to admit, he looks like an ewok. January 14, 2011 at 5:35 AM. He does. What a cutie! January 14, 2011 at 11:52 PM. View my complete profile.

International Chaos: March 2010
http://internationalchaos.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Chaos is the score upon which reality is written" - Henry Miller. Friday, March 19, 2010. For Italy that is. I have not been very good in my blog posting, just not feeling it I suppose. But I have taken it upon myself to rise to the challenge to post for you. The last place I visited in Italy, Vernazza, was perhaps the most beautiful, for an outdoors kind of person like myself. Don't get me wrong, I like the museums and the art work, but if I had to pick, I would choose the outdoors. And of course what b...

International Chaos: And at last came Wales
http://internationalchaos.blogspot.com/2010/08/and-at-last-came-wales.html
Chaos is the score upon which reality is written" - Henry Miller. Sunday, August 22, 2010. And at last came Wales. Hard to believe I have come to the last post on my travels in Europe before coming back to the States. At least I am finishing up these posts less than a year later. I spent a week in Wales with my good friends Stephanie and Mary Beth. We got a screaming deal at a resort in a small town called Machynlleth. Thanks to Stephanie and her parent's time share investment. Statue of Owain Glyndwr.

Lost Between the Pages. For those of you who aren't family and haven't seen my husband's posts on Facebook, here's the big announcement. I'm Pregnant! Baby number 2 is due on Feb. 2nd. We are having another girl. Her name will be Kaylee Seraphina. Should I be worried about this? Or is this just my pregnancy anxiety morphing from many issues into one? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Lost Between the Pages: August 2012
http://notanothertexaslibrarian.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Lost Between the Pages. After a summer of interviews, interviews, and more interviews, I have accepted a position at a public library in Virginia. I'm having mixed feelings about this. I don't feel nearly as good about this move as I did when we moved to Montana. But we all know how that worked out. But, the board hasn't tried to contact me since, so if were reconsidering me, they haven't been very vocal about it. Its not like they don't have my phone number and email. There are other ways to rea...So th...

Lost Between the Pages: What birthdays mean
http://notanothertexaslibrarian.blogspot.com/2014/09/what-birthdays-mean.html
Lost Between the Pages. For the past two weeks or so, Emma has been talking about birthdays. She's learned that birthdays are something that people have. Because my birthday was coming up, we talked about what we would do for it: have cake, open presents, and go to a restaurant. This morning when we got up, we have this conversation:. No, my birthday was yesterday. I don't have anymore presents.". September 24, 2014 at 7:57 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Judge a book by its cover.

Lost Between the Pages: October 2014
http://notanothertexaslibrarian.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Lost Between the Pages. Weekends and my Mini Photographer. Anyway, one parent was allowed to run with each child, if they wanted. Since this was Emma first race, we decided that I would run with her. I really thought that I would chase her across the track because that's what happens whenever we go outside. She says "Catch Me! And takes off. The crowd probably threw her off a bit. So we held hands the entire time. Its hard to take pictures around Emma because she will insist that its her turn to have the...

Lost Between the Pages: July 2012
http://notanothertexaslibrarian.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Lost Between the Pages. This past month has been a rather creative one. First, I found a blog called the Sketchbook Challenge. Its also been a big crochet and knit month. I finished a skirt for Emma, which wound up not being the right size (she grew) which I've decided to try and sell. I'm like to get $15 for it, but I can negotiate. It should fit a 9-12 month old, provided she isn't a really tall baby. Eating with her fingers, even if its not a finger food, like soup and pudding,. Judge a book by its co...

Slanted (The Abroad Edition): July 2009
http://librarianabroad.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Slanted (The Abroad Edition). Tell all the truth but tell it slant -Emily Dickinson. The street signs in Bath are carved into the sides of the buildings. I find it charming. One day it was sunny and I went and read outside the Royal Crescent and watched the British youth play soccer on the grassy area out front. It was lovely. This is the Pig and Fiddle (for SCS). I am so proud of this curry. Not because I made it. On the contrary, I was lying on the couch watching my favorite bits of. Tomorrow AandA go ...
