Southbroom Bowling Club is considered by members and visitors alike to be one of the prettiest and friendliest clubs on the Hibiscus Coast. It was originally laid down between 1948/49 by former Margate bowler, Jimmy Green, and the late Ernie Sturman of Southbroom. The green was officially opened in 1950. Southbroom has three beautiful swimming beaches, Main Beach, Grannies Beach (Hotel Pool) and Umkobi beach. DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED on the swimming beaches but can enjoy the long flat unspoilt area from the rocks on the north side of Umkobi as far as the rocks south of Grannies beach.
