http://cricsis.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
ABOUT CRIC - SIS. Friday, March 1, 2013. MEMORY OF AN EVENING 10 YEARS AGO. It was a Saturday. I was in Class 9th. The exams were approaching. We were supposed to be focused on our studies, and not be worried about anything else, especially no sporting events. Only Class 10th have Board exams, let the others watch it please.". This is the first match India is playing vs. Pakistan after the Kargil war - please let us watch it.". At this point, there was a discussion. Some wanted to continue playing a ...

CRIC - SIS: August 2012
http://cricsis.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
ABOUT CRIC - SIS. Saturday, August 18, 2012. THANK YOU, VVS! Vangipurappu Venkata Sai Laxman. Or Very Very Special Laxman. Whatever name you prefer! Possibly the most lasting memory for me of VVS Laxman's pre-281 career for me is that moment when he took Wasim Akram's catch to seal Anil Kumble's 10 for 74. But post that 281, it all changed. The memories are so many that it's hard to pick one out that stands mightily above the rest. Oh VVS, thou shalt be missed dearly. But thank you! Links to this post.

Why Durban matters | ________________

BCCI, Cricinfo and cricket in India. My Twitter year →. December 29, 2010. Mention the series to him and he would recollect, with remarkable detail, how every Indian wicket fell. His most vivid memory was the ball,. It was all quite gory. It’s tough to forget the incutter of the series, Donald producing a bullet that got through the little gap between Tendulkar’s bat and pad, following up with the aeroplane dance; Azharuddin swishing wildly, Dravid leaving ball after ball, often with the exaggerated ...

CRIC - SIS: PLANNING OF A CHASE - 2
http://cricsis.blogspot.com/2012/02/planning-of-chase-2.html
ABOUT CRIC - SIS. Wednesday, February 29, 2012. PLANNING OF A CHASE - 2. What a chase we had today! India, needing a bonus point win, chased down Sri Lanka's score of 320 in just 36.4 overs, to win by 7 wickets with 80 balls to spare. This win has kept India alive in this tri-series for at least 3 more days, and increased the interest in the last round robin match between Australia and Sri Lanka. And the tied match against Sri Lanka. On of my biggest problem with Dhoni when he comes out to bat with overs...

CRIC - SIS: January 2011

ABOUT CRIC - SIS. Monday, January 31, 2011. BATTLING THE BATTING POWERPLAY. The concept of Powerplays had come into existence prior to the World Cup 2007 in West Indies, but the upcoming World Cup 2011 in the sub-continent will be the first time that 'Batting Powerplays' will feature in a World Cup. Personally, I eagerly look forward to the batting powerplay every time in an ODI just to see how will the batting team use it. It is a potent weapon. of mass destruction as well as self destruction! So what I...

CRIC - SIS: June 2011

ABOUT CRIC - SIS. Tuesday, June 21, 2011. THE OTHER TIER BATTLE BEGINS. It's not quite Test cricket. but it's the closest a lot of cricketers who deserve to play Test cricket will get to Test cricket! I hope there is some good quality cricket played in this season of the Intercontinental Cup, and I will definitely be keeping an eye on all the matches and results. If anyone knows where I can get the streamings or the video highlights of these matches, please do let me know. Bowled by Shridhar Jaju. When h...

CRIC - SIS: December 2010
http://cricsis.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
ABOUT CRIC - SIS. Friday, December 31, 2010. RECENT HISTORY DISAGREES WITH GOUGH. Darren Gough's statement that England can beat India any day of the week has naturally ruffled a few feathers. as I assume it was meant to! It's strange though to hear this comment. simply because England has not beaten India in a Test series (home or away) since 1996. I was just checking the tour schedule. Sounds like some different era to me! But England's away record is still no better than India's! India has an away ser...

http://cricsis.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
ABOUT CRIC - SIS. Thursday, March 31, 2011. SACHIN TENDULKAR'S AJMAL MOMENTS. When Ian Gould had to reverse his LBW decision of Sachin Tendulkar off Saeed Ajmal's bowling, he looked quite miffed. I don't blame him - it was the first time in this entire World Cup that an Ian Gould decision had been reviewed and reversed. That man is as good as the latest piece of technology available. Tendulkar was very very lucky to survive that LBW call. Have a look:. That Tendulkar failed to pick and was almost stumped...
