Nick Priestland is host, chef and gardener at this impressive former Victorian house set in four-acres of Pre-Raphaelite-style grounds. Nick was once an artist and the artistic sensibility is visible in everything he does from the drama of the gardens, to the decoration of the house and the artful presentation of the food. He has brought this building to life and created a charming blend of period pieces and modernist artworks both in his restaurant and the three en-suite guest rooms available.

Translated from Welsh The Cors means bog, which is what Nick Priestland had to work with when he created his beautiful landscaped garden set in a wooded valley bordering the Coran river. Consisting of approximately 2 and half acres this well designed large bog garden has ponds, gunnera, bamboos and tree-ferns. It is an exceptional, elegant and artistic garden with unusual architectural and exotic planting including sculptures. If you like gardens why not visit the National Botanic Garden Wales.

The Corry House / Welcome / About Us
The Corry House, a historic home near Union Point and located on the Ogeechee Plantation is an event facility for weddings, parties and entertainment. The house is located approximately three miles east of Union Point and was built in the 1860’s. The house is named after the family who settled on this plantation in 1798. Since that time, ten generations of the Corry family have made this land their home. Owners Bo and Ruby Cheves are excited to bring this business to Union Point and Greene County.

Wednesday, October 26, 2011. I come to this blog every once in a while. Feeling guilty for not updating. Really WANTING to. but just not into updating EVERYTHING from 2011.
