The Country's Critic

Wednesday, January 14, 2009. Still here, but just have been quiet for several weeks. That is about to change. It is one of my favorite times of the year so expect to see several posts on this subject. TAX TIME. Friday, November 14, 2008. Obituary of the late MR. COMMON SENSE. Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. Life isn't always fair.

The Country's Critic: Rap Music

http://www.thecountryscritic.blogspot.com/2008/11/rap-music.html

Thursday, November 6, 2008. In my house it is known as "rap crap" and is not allowed. I think most people listen to it because of peer pressure. They probably don't really enjoy it, but they want to fit in. I think they play it loud to draw attention from their peers. Why are young people so starved for attention? That's a topic for another day. I also believe listening to all the negativity in the lyrics affects their attitude. You'll probably never convince rap fans of that, but I am convinced.

The Country's Critic: Bottled Water

http://www.thecountryscritic.blogspot.com/2008/10/bottled-water.html

Wednesday, October 29, 2008. 8220;Why bottled water? 8221; you ask. Well, let’s look at this from two different points of view. The bottom line is the bottling company is making more profit on your health conscience decision to drink water, and we continue to pay the price even after numerous studies done have shown that the water is no better than tap water in many cases. The second point is why you would pay more for water in a bottle then gasoline? October 29, 2008 at 10:17 PM. View my complete profile.

http://thepoliticalcritic.blogspot.com/2008/11/shame-on-mccain.html

Friday, November 7, 2008. I have lost most of the respect that I had for John McCain over the last 24 hours. Here is why. He ran a poor campaign that never really focused on the issues. The Political Critic: Era of Excuses

http://thepoliticalcritic.blogspot.com/2008/11/era-of-excuses.html

Wednesday, November 5, 2008. The era of Obama is upon us and congratulations are due. The next 4 years will be important years to see if all the hype and excitement generated was real or just false hope. “ Hope. 8221;, the word probably most associated with Obama, along with “change”. Hope is the belief in a positive outcome related to events and circumstances in one's life. Hope is the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best. The Political Critic: Let "idiots" and "insane" vote?

Tuesday, November 4, 2008. Let "idiots" and "insane" vote? Here is an actual copy from the voting ballot in Arkansas. What does the repeal of this article really mean? It appears to me, that currently in Arkansas, that no "idiot" or "insane" person can vote. I don't know about you, but this sounds pretty good to me. Why the repeal? The Political Critic: November 2008

http://thepoliticalcritic.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html

Friday, November 21, 2008. Compare Obama to another Leader. Let us compare Barack Obama to another world leader and see how similar they are. This leader gained support by promoting economic redistribution, and being a charismatic orator combined with mass distribution of information. This leader perfected his orator skills by speaking to small groups in beer halls and became very gifted at telling people what they wanted to hear. Sounds a lot like a community organizer. Here is another key point of the ...

The Political Critic: October 2008

http://thepoliticalcritic.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html

Friday, October 31, 2008. Obama's new rhetoric is that McCain is trying to distance himself from Bush. Of course McCain is distancing himself from Bush, he is not Bush. But when it comes to distancing yourself to people, Obama has mastered the practice. Rev Wright - as soon as Rev Wright's views became unpopular in public view, he denounced the association with the Rev. claiming to never have heard the ideas being talked about. After over 500 visits in 20 years in the church he never heard the Re...After...

The Political Critic: Will Obama get it right?

http://thepoliticalcritic.blogspot.com/2008/11/will-obama-get-it-right.html

Monday, November 17, 2008. Will Obama get it right? Will Obama get it right? Let us look at the political culture he comes from. Economy – Illinois State Pension fund is $44 billion in debt, the worst in the country. Sales tax in Cook County (Chicago) is 10.25 %, the highest in the nation. Education – The Chicago School system is rated as one of the worst in the country. War- In the last six months: 221 killed in Iraq and 292 killed (murdered) in Chicago; I guess Chicago is a bigger “war zone”.
