October 27, 2011. As a testament to how busy I feel I've been this fall, I'm just now posting school photos! Landon is enjoying this year, especially soccer. He has an amazing competitive spirit that I've come to realize we better use to our advantage to keep motivating him. He really excels when a competition is involved. December 28, 2012. Etame's favorite gift was her Easy Bake Oven. We have already made miniscule cupcakes and equally tiny cookies. But I have to admit it is fun, and I can only imagine how thrilling it is through the 4 year old's mind. She is delighted. Etame was so good as sharing, as expected. December 17, 2011. The Bathroom is Finished! So happy to report we are finally done with the kids' bathroom. It is finished, finito, fini! Here's the laying of the plywood. Then the cement board. Had to mix up the "mud" to lay under the concrete (using a leftover spindle - hey you use what you got). Drilled it down good and put more "mud" over the seams over the tape. Sunday, September 21, 2008. We received word from our agency that we are #7 on the waiting list! We're thinking that means we will receive a referral in the next 2 batches, and usually the batches come once a month. I say usually, but because our agency's program is new, we really don't have a lot to base that on. It's been that way so far, but I'm trying to keep in mind that things could change.
