The crafter and the nerd. Sunday, June 30, 2013. First date night: picnic in the living room. This week has been a tough one in our household. After we got back from Hawaii the real world hit pretty quickly. A friend of mine passed away in a boating accident while we were in hawaii, surgery on monday, back to work on tuesday and then some complications from surgery hit. The crafter and the nerd. Monday, June 24, 2013. We recently returned from our honeymoon and so I thought I would post post some of my favorite pictures from the trip! We went to Maui, Hawaii. Its so beautiful. Our hotel was right on the beach and so it was so much fun to wake up in the mornings and watch the ocean. Another thing that I loved was the trees. They would grow the most beautiful flowers that would fall. I just had to put a couple in my hair! He was a hungry Hubby! And I was a hungry wife!

The crafter and the nerd. Wednesday, July 17, 2013. My latest DYI project: summer wreath. I have been super busy. Trying to get our apartment together! Things are finally coming together. Most things are unpacked and we don't feel like we live out of a box anymore. I finally unpacked the unthinkable, my crafting supplies and decided we needed to make our door a little more festive. Sorry there isn't many pictures. I didn't have my camera with me. Here is the final product! I feel rather proud.

Wednesday, September 24, 2014. Water, Rock, and Sand. Draining the tank was a little easier. We just siphoned the water back into the buckets. Since the tank was tested and passed with flying colors, we were ready to start actually fill it with sand. It took us a while to arrange the rocks, but eventually after a long long time, (or so it seemed because it was really late) we placed them together it the perfect way! It looks so amazing! Her husband cut the wood for the cup cake stand and she wrapped the wood in a jungle theme. She also added a Giant C on top because I am going to name my baby boy Collin.I thought this was so clever because she can reuse these blocks for future parties. She wrapped vines around her light fixtures, I thought that was cute.
