The HomeSchool of Sewing. January 2, 2017. Following on from my recent New Years’ sewing goals post; I thought it might be useful to put together a visual guide to my sewing queue, as it is currently planned. Disclaimer: I make no promise to sew these items in any specific order, nor do I promise that I will stick to any of these ‘plans’. Patterns and fabrics selected may become de-coupled at any time. Tilly and the Buttons Rosa Shirt Dress. I’m intending to make the Rosa. Sew Over It 40’s Tea Dress.

American Girl in Yorkshire. Tales of Love , Laughter 😀, and Loos🚽. 😀Ode to the Dishwasher, or is that Dish Washer? September 21, 2016. September 21, 2016. By American Girl in Yorkshire. I feel guilty. I really do. All those years in America, I never stopped to admire each of my appliances individually and give them the hugs and kisses they deserve for consistently getting the job done. I totally took them for granted. Posted in 🇺🇸🇬🇧Current Events. Tagged American Women in the UK. I don’t bel...

The Screaming Summer Dress – Itch to Stitch Marbella Dress – not sew simple
https://notsewsimple.wordpress.com/2015/06/21/the-screaming-summer-dress-itch-to-stitch-marbella-dress
One stitch at a time. The Screaming Summer Dress – Itch to Stitch Marbella Dress. June 21, 2015. Somehow this dress makes me feel as if it really wants to be pictured by a pool, while I am holding a fruity cocktail and the sky is as blue as the flowers on the fabric. What you actually get is my back garden (again), but I have made a bit of effort on the ‘styling’ and added – sunglasses! This is the Marbella dress from Itch to Stitch Designs. And I looked at it again! 8211; using the IPM discount code!

A Little About Me. SHARING MY LOVE OF SEWING and OTHER HANDMADE GOODNESS. Published on January 13, 2017. I don’t always take part in a lot of challenges, but there’s a few that’s caught my attention in 2017. The January ‘Keep It Cosy” #dressmakingbloggerchallenge. Is the first one I’ve managed to complete! I’ve had 1.5m of this ridiculously thick sweater knit for about 2 years. I bought if from Fabworks for 10 a metre with no project in mind. the squishiness just drew me in and I just had to buy it!

Skip to main content. Skip to secondary content. The Ugly to Lovely Series. A warm red crepe. I love this one! One finished, another begun. August 12, 2015. My circles within squares cotton blanket is complete! Here it is. Well here it is in duplicate as it looked so lovely out in the sunshine. I kept the border simple, choosing one of the blue colours to highlight the edge. I’m pleased I stuck to my gradual colour scheme instead of just mixing them up. It is lovely and malleable and soft. Love, Lucie xx.

Skip to main content. Skip to secondary content. The Ugly to Lovely Series. A warm red crepe →. Crochet on baby blanket. August 6, 2015. Whilst my sewing demons may have been getting the better of me recently, although last night I did cut out a True Bias Sutton blouse, my crochet has seen no such challenges. I’ve been working on my latest baby blanket. Crocheted purely for pleasure and for my imminent but ‘not bothered if they don’t sell’ Folksy and Etsy shops. Anyone having a baby? Love, Lucie x. Mother and Daughter Time. January 10, 2017. Having had one week at university Helen has decided she needs some crafts to keep her occupied, so while she was at home for Christmas she took herself off to Hobbycraft to make herself a ‘craftbox’. She came back with two cross-stitch kits, a decoupage elephant and a desire to learn crochet. I made her an initial cushion for Christmas like the one I made for James and Tillie and it gave her the idea that maybe she could make a cushion. Of course she wanted pom...
