Saturday, January 3, 2015. I hope everyone had a great holiday and a happy new year. I sure did. Due to the busy schedule that holidays tend to create, I havent been able to post anything, or create much. But I wanted to jump back in with some news. Im trying to get my craft room in order. Especially since I now have 3 new (actually 2 are vintage) sewing machines! My parents got a Singer featherweight and a Singer Touch and Sew at an auction and offered them to me. Of course I said yes to that!

Thursday, September 17, 2015. I'm one of those people that fought Pinterest with all my heart and soul for the longest time. And eventually succumbed to its glory. Seriously, Pinterest is dangerous. It makes me say things like "I want to hang an antique chandelier in the laundry room." Where does that even come from? I really do though. Speaking of laundry rooms! It feels insane. But I love the look. Also, notice the blue trim? I keep getting distracted. Sorry. This is a rambly post. They were cheap....

Saturday, December 20, 2014. Here's what it looked like before. This photo was taken during one of our walk throughs. All the stuff is the previous owner's. Not a bad place to start by any means. The paint I used was the same white paint we used for the trim and doors. It's latex based Ultra White Gloss Valspar from Lowes. I mixed it up in a plastic measuring bowl. 1 part paint to 2 parts water. Got an old 2" paint brush. Nothing fancy there. I started at the top and worked my way down. I'm not sure....

We purchased our home, built in 1959, in December, 2009. She’s been a labor of love ever since. The house has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and totals around 2,000 square feet on .75 acres. We also have a full unfinished basement that we hope to finish one day to include 2 additional bedrooms and one bathroom. Here’s a peek into our progress.
