Homemaker and the Pea: Dyeing fabric with Dylon
http://homemakerandthepea.blogspot.com/2011/08/dyeing-fabric-with-dylon.html
Homemaker and the Pea. Creative Work From Home Jobs. Monday, August 15, 2011. Dyeing fabric with Dylon. I discovered Dylon fabric dye about six months ago. My favorite pair of jeans were pretty faded and I wanted to get a little more life out of them. Having never dyed anything before I wanted to be able to do it in the machine, my problem was that my machine is a front loader. I couldn't find anything in the stores for that. Rinse with cold water. 4 Rinse under cold water until water is nearly clear....

Homemaker and the Pea. Creative Work From Home Jobs. Saturday, October 1, 2011. Easy crochet dishcloth pattern. I have had the itch to do some crocheting lately but I don't have the time to sit down and work on a big project. Since I could use some new dishcloths and washcloths for the tub I decided to work on these. This is a very easy project that can be done in about an hour or two. 1 ball of Lily Sugar’n Cream cotton yarn. Size 5 mm (U.S. H or 8) crochet hook. Labels: back loop crochet. Hello, I am C...

Thymely Stitches: October 2011
http://thymelystitches.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 17, 2011. There are scads of pumpkin recipes floating around these days and I've tried a couple that were good but my all time favorite pumpkin recipe is still a classic Pumpkin Bar with Cream Cheese Frosting. I like them more than a cake because the frosting/cake ratio is closer to being balanced. Haha! If you don't care for cream cheese frosting, #1 What is WRONG with you? Pumpkin Bars with Cream Cheese Frosting. 1 2/3 c. sugar. 1 c veg. oil. 15 oz canned pumpkin. 2 t baking powder.

Thymely Stitches: My "Learning Curve"
http://thymelystitches.blogspot.com/2011/07/my-learning-curve.html
Thursday, July 7, 2011. Whenever I spend time in quilting circles I usually always hear at least one person express their fear of curved piecing. I admit, I was fearful too. Until I found a pattern that was done up into such a beautiful quilt I HAD to give it a try. This is the result. As usual, my long arm quilter made up for anything lacking due to my inexperience. I love her for that! Don't the blocks below look a little bit like old fashioned baby carriages. Okay, maybe I went too far that time!

Thymely Stitches: 3-D Starburst Tutorial
http://thymelystitches.blogspot.com/2011/09/3-d-starburst-tutorial.html
Sunday, September 11, 2011. I am SO excited about another 3-D technique that came to my attention last week. While these types of patterns do use a little more fabric, it is amazing how much depth and dimension they add to a quilt. This one comes from Linda over at her blog, Buzzing and Bumbling. She calls it a 3-D Starburst and I think it looks so attractive. The tutorial can be found here. It is such a clever way to use colored hankies too! Until next time. blessings to you. http://thymelystitches.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 31, 2011. If you have spent much time around young moms in the last couple of years you have seen the classy, fashion forward nursing covers that are so popular now. They go by all sorts of clever names but let's just stick with "nursing cover", okay? My blogging friend, Amy, over at Diary of a Quilter. Has a superb tutorial. For making them and they will cost you a fraction of the price you would pay from a store or on line source. Blessing to you Luci. Links to this post. You can quickl...

Sharing a bit of my world with you. Friday, January 18, 2013. I would like to say I'm going to be more consistently blogging in the upcoming weeks and months, but I kind of have a feeling that going back to work will throw a monkey wrench into my blogging schedule (I mean look how bad it is while I'm at home with the kidlets!
