Friday, November 27, 2009. Day after Thanksgiving 2009. Up bright and early again.but this time, it wasn't because of the nieces and nephews. We all stayed up and watched a rather disturbing movie, The Mist. It kept me up all night. Every little noise I heard startled me. By the way, if you have not watched. Thursday, February 11, 2010. Snow Day at School. Well, we took advantage of our planning time today to go outside and play in the snow. We had lots of fun.of course we didn't bring the kids outside because that would just get way too crazy! We are actually off tomorrow because of the weather and I'm not too happy because our make-up day will be the Saturday of our April Scrapbook Retreat in Weatherford. Thursday, December 2, 2010. Mike's parents house in Newark, Delaware. They had some very cute yard decorations and candles in each window. Thanksgiving table setting. Mike's dad always uses his Christmas plates for Thanksgiving meals. The indians that were part of the centerpiece at the table. The Slater family. From left, Greg (Mike's younger brother), Mrs. and Mr. Slater, and of course, Mike. He has a hard time smiling! Mike and I stopped for a pose in front of some Christmas trees. This was sooo cool!

Thursday, March 20, 2014. Our First Cruise (aboard the Ruby Princess). After settling in and unpacking everything, we explored the rest of the ship. She was so beautiful. We had to return to our rooms at a certain time to perform our emergency drill. We had to meet in Muster D along with several 100 other passengers and practice putting on our life jackets. Our tour guide, Lilliana, taught us the difference between the Mayan Calendar and the Aztec calendar. She was really nice and funny! She said the day...

Sunday, December 20, 2009. This is their 3rd State Championship in 5 years. Way to go boys! Saturday, December 19, 2009. Santa Arrives by Helicopter. An HEB tradition, Santa and his friends arrived by helicopter at 8:45am at Midway Park Elementary School. He makes a stop at every Elementary School in HEB each Christmas. The students always enjoy bundling up and going outside to wait for the arrival of Santa and his friends. Wednesday, December 2, 2009. Oh well, it was great while it lasted!

Sunday, October 3, 2010. I took a halfday Friday so Mike and I could drive to Canyon, Texas to visit Palo Duro Canyon State Park. It only took us about 6 hours. I didn't think the drive was too bad but then again, I wasn't the one driving. Not only was the place beautiful but the weather couldn't have been nicer! It was in the mid 70s during the day and the low to mid 40s at night. It was Mike and my's first camping trip and we had a blast. Even Freeway accompanied us on the trip. Freeway, 12 years old.

Friday, July 29, 2011. Puerto Rico - July 29th - Last day of Vacation (San Juan, PR). Last day of vacation.very sad. Since today was mostly a travel day, I decided to just include some random pictures from our trip. We had a great trip but we were both ready to get home. Our rental car.Mike thought that there were gerbils running on a treadmill to provide the power. This little car got us to and from everywhere. These 2 pictures are views from the house after an evening storm. Lonely lizard all by himself.
