The Scoop: November 2013
http://thecunninghamscoop.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Just trying to keep up. Sunday, November 17, 2013. Surprise Visit from Gran! A couple of nights before she came up here from Houston we moved Gabby into her big girl bed in her room with Cooper. Boss and Gertie were staying with us (Jenny happened to be in Houston for school and got to see Nana too). Boss, Cooper and Gabby slept there all night! Then Gran's bake shop opened and they all made pumpkin cookies. Hudson joined us for the Homecoming Parade. Cooper and him enjoyed having each other to themselves.

Just trying to keep up. Thursday, December 18, 2014. Ruthie is 7 months. How on earth can I keep up with her. SEVEN months. She is starting to get mobile and will be crawling any day. She is quite the chunk and loves to eat and will try new things. She is still happy happy happy. But I just can't stand how fast this is going. I still want to rock her all night long and listen to her little baby breaths. Rob was gone hunting the first game but the kids and I still managed to roll out. We don't get picture...

Just trying to keep up. Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Going to the Chapel. Gigi and Cappy have been married 17 years. But recently they had there marriage recognized by the Catholic Church. So of course we couldn't miss it. It really was a special ceremony and we are so glad we could stand there with them. I think Gabby thought she was the maid of honor. Aunt Margaret the baby whisperer kept Ruthie happy the whole time. Taking her job seriously. Cooper got to present the rings. So loved by so many. We were ab...

Just trying to keep up. Saturday, June 28, 2014. Hainsfurther Wedding Take 3. While Rob was in Haiti I snuck down to Dallas to attend the wedding of my cousin Joey Hainsfurther to the lovely Miss Jordan Douglass. (thank you to Gigi and Cappy for keeping all 3 kids). Now this is my 3rd Hainsfurther wedding and this family knows how to celebrate! So grateful for this sweet cousin of mine for being willing to share a hotel room with her older cousin. Her baby brother is pretty awesome himself. Gran and Pops...
The Scoop: January is Here
http://thecunninghamscoop.blogspot.com/2015/07/january-is-here.html
Just trying to keep up. Monday, July 6, 2015. January got away from us. We tried to get out and do more adult things. But I really don't know how adult you can get when you hang out with people like this. We spent a lot of time with the Varners making Disney plans. And playing dress up in Gabby's new costumes. The kids rediscovered our board games. She didn't quite understand the point of putting the card on your forehead so you can't see it. She started climbing higher and getting braver. So long story ...

Sunday, December 28, 2014. Last summer we realized we had never been on a family vacation just the four of us so we decided to plan a trip. A) we had to be able to drive there. B) the cost fit into our vacation budget. C) we don't have a vacation budget. D) the hotel had a good pool and free breakfast. E) kid friendly attractions. So Glen Rose, Texas it was! At the beginning of August, a few days before I had to report back to work we loaded up and headed out! We don't have a family motto.). Our hotel al...

Sunday, May 31, 2015. We decided to spend Easter weekend at Leakey this year. Tristan spent a few Easters there as a kid so it was very "full circle.". Daddy decided to surprise us all with a pit stop in Burnet to pick up the cutest baby bunnies ever. They were delighted with their new pets Lamby and Jacob! When we got to the ranch, spring had sprung and it was pretty breathtaking! Tristan did a little yardwork while the kids went for a swim in the perfect little pool. Later that day we dyed eggs. Christ...

Saturday, January 31, 2015. The weekend before Pa's birthday Grami and Pa came down for the weekend. We spent the day watching football and playing football. And swinging. And feeding chickens. Then it was time for a little birthday celebration. That girl loves her Pa and Pa loves that girl. Then we headed to Walburg to continue the birthday celebration. The next morning a little playing superhero. Then we headed into Austin to meet the Wagners for lunch. Taking our Punkins to the Punkin Patch. Nash's 6t...

Sunday, January 19, 2014. Colton played soccer this fall so our Saturdays from September through November were planned around soccer games. It was a very low key program, only two practices at the beginning and then 8 games. No keeping score and mostly just running around in a big mass of kids following the soccer ball. Good for our first dip into the sports pool I think! And Piper girl was a really good spectator! He liked playing goalie. Blocked a hard kick like a champ! Coach making sure he was ok.

Monday, February 16, 2015. October is always Chisholm Trail days in Georgetown. Piper was a happy girl to spend some time with this horse. The annual longhorn cattle drive along the San Gabriel. The kids enjoyed watching so much that Piper did not want to leave. And to have a little help to get back to the car. Back home the rest of Saturday was spent in the backyard. The next day we headed out to Marble Falls to Sweet Berry Farm, another fun October activity. Flower picking and hayride. While we were at...

Saturday, May 23, 2015. We spent New Year's in Leakey and although it was a tad freezing and rainy, it was a great way to start the new year! New Year's eve fireworks. Tristan, Bria and Colton spent a lot of time working so Piper and I were very happy to stay warm and cozy in the cabin. The rest of January was spent getting settled back into regular routine after Christmas break, with weekends at home with luckily some nice weather to go to the park. She loves to sit in the baby chair.

Saturday, October 18, 2014. Some things just never change. School is back and here I am, WAY behind in blogging again (still haven't even finished July! Of course, towards the end of October I am always happy to start dreaming about summer again so revisiting July will be enjoyable. After we returned from San Antonio, Colton was into playing the battle of the Alamo for several weeks. These two played together all summer long! Beautiful potty trained girl! Hatching the dinosaur eggs Grami sent them. Apple...

Saturday, November 15, 2014. But as grateful as I am for the time I had with them, it will never ever be enough. And now that they are all gone.well, I feel orphaned in a way. A few months ago, the sale of Mimi and Grandad's house was finalized and Nana and Grandaddy's farm is sold as well. They are gone and the places I knew as my homes away from home, the places that have a piece of my heart, are gone. But just as I did not really know my great-grandparents, they will not and that breaks my heart.

Living a Part in God's Story
Living a Part in God's Story. One family's journey to hear God's calling, overcome our fears, and be obedient to Him! Monday, July 15, 2013. It Almost Seems Impossible Until It's Done. It has been almost six months since I blogged. For that, I apologize or accept your thanks, whichever is more appropriate for you. Let’s just say, I've been busy.
