Sunday, June 20, 2010. Sunday June 20th we celebrated Father's Day and Elisabeth's First birthday! We woke up and covered the birthday girl with kisses (and some of mama's tears). We brought her down to see her stack of presents! Yeah, spoiled girl got a car! And didn't even have to use any of her own savings on it. That is not the way it will be in 15 years :). He got to pick all three meals. Andrew opened her presents. But we acted like she was doing it. This water bottle seemed more fun. Sunday June 2...

The Hoyt Family: November 2009
http://hoytsoup.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 28, 2009. Ellie has finally learned to roll from her back to her belly. She has been rolling from belly to back for a while. She is a belly sleeper, and has always liked to flip herself back over, then throw a fit because she absolutely cannot sleep on her back, oh no! She has quickly learned that rolling over in both directions, along with spinning on her belly, can do some good things for her! I'll put her down, and a minute later, she's 10 feet away from where I put her! Anyway, we ...

The Hoyt Family: December 2008
http://hoytsoup.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 16, 2008. This year, we decided to switch things up a little bit, and went to the five o'clock service on Christmas Eve. It's the "family" service, so when your kids is misbehaving, it's no big deal. This meant we'd have to eat dinner with mine and Andy's parents as soon as we could after we all made it to our house from church. This posed a meat-making problem for me! I made a buche de noel for dessert, I love that thing. Not my best, but still so tasty. And fun fact: My Granny bought ...

Wednesday, December 16, 2009. I thought you might like to see a few videos of the kids in action! Ellie loves to chit-chat and be naked. So. we have a naked chatting baby! Andrew is making us repeat the same three Christmas songs over and over and over and over. Turns out, this is an excellent learning opportunity for him, and he's actually learned the songs! Now if only he'd actually learn to the go to sleep and eat his supper lessons in this song! Thursday, December 10, 2009. I talked to him a lot abou...

The Hoyt Family: July 2010
http://hoytsoup.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 20, 2010. Saturday, our last day in NY, we threw a family party for Ellie. I had made the theme elephants. Which I have deemed her animal, Ellie Elephant. is this cruel? Andrew's animal is a monkey. This is just going to be a picture post to show you what I did! I made elephant garland out of felt to hang all around. This will eventually go in her room, when its less of a Honey Bee theme. We call her Elliebean, so I got jellybeans! I had the kids paint elephant piggy banks. The kids goody b...

The Hoyt Family: October 2009
http://hoytsoup.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 27, 2009. We tried to go to the Dutchess County Fair for my dad's birthday back in August, but of course, we got rained out. Did we expect anything else from this summer? Lucky for us, the NC State Fair happens in October! We went last weekend with our friends Sara and Mike, and their sons Landon and Oliver. Makes me feel bad for the people in those costumes, to have kids petrified of them! Next up was the kiddie rides. Landon and Mike went on the carousel, but Andrew refused to ride...

The Hoyt Family: January 2009
http://hoytsoup.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 19, 2009. Andrew put me in time-out today :( he was in the bath, and accidentally dropped one of his numbers on the floor, so i picked it up and tossed it back in the tub. It was so hard not to laugh in his face. Is there excessive use of the time-out in this house? Then they pricked his finger. Such mean people. Then the nurse practitioner came in, and he is so in love with her, he was babbling on about cars outside in two seconds. Declared in perfect health. Thursday, January 8, 2009.

The Hoyt Family: March 2009
http://hoytsoup.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Balls, balls, balls. When we were driving home from NC I noticed Andrew's scrotum was all squished, and I felt bad for his balls, all strapped in like that. I called, told the receptionist what was up. She put me on with a dr. Who acted like he was about to explode, come in ASAP. I get transferred back to make the app, again telling the issue. It was making me blush and giggle all this talk of balls! Andrew had to lay on the table pantless and be still. Haha right? I called twice...

Monday, June 21, 2010. And girlfriend chomped her mouth shut so I couldn't get it out again! I did manage, visions of her with a fireant bitten tongue, esophagus, and stomach running through my head. Then Andrew didn't want her looking at the bug, since its his favorite and all, so she wandered off to the road. on that little hill going down, she fell. Our toddler now has her very first scraped knee, blood and all! What in the world is this thing, and will it eat me? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Wednesday, August 4, 2010. I just went to start a new load of laundry, and fluff the load that has been sitting in the dryer for days, only to find said load still sitting in the washer. oops! Which just has annoyingly set me back an hour. Not like I was anything close to productive anyway. Just kidding, that is not the most exciting! That is maybe third or fourth. the second most exciting is my new computer! Did you hear about that? But this, this is the most exciting! We have been talking about a new c...
