Not all-consumed with what happens at the break of the rapidly-encroaching morning. When your daughters wake and begin the day with a giggle over their cornflakes. Before they wave him off through the window. When he turns and smiles; carefully ensuring the gate is properly closed. So they don’t run into the road. Because it doesn’t matter.
