The Dad I Had. Life with Lewy Body Dementia. That’s me and my dad. This picture was taken 35 years ago in the backyard of the house I grew up in. It is one of my favorite pictures because it reminds me of the dad I grew up with. This blog is dedicated to my dad, the man who always loved and supported me. The last 5 years have been a true struggle for this kind and gentle man. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s 5 years ago and has been living with Lewy Body Dementia for the last few years. The Dad is in. December 7, 2009. 8212; by thedadisin @ 7:39 pm. My wife and I were in London recently. I tagged along on the tail end of her business trip. It was great! I opened the photo album and inside were pictures of our daughter and me, and even a few of our dog. My wife told me she never leaves home without it and she looks at it often when she is back at the hotel room after a long day of meetings while on business trips. I immediately felt better.
